I don't own a 360 but can't 360 users go online and buy all the download games from XBLA? So the same $50 can still be used on games like on PSN. Am I wrong?

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

This particular Kotaku author trolls the PS3 every chance he gets. That being said, it is kind of sad that Sony has resorted to press releases to articulate its value proposition with the PS3 and PSN. One of Sony's biggest problems is they can't communicate the value of the PS3 in a simple sentence.

it wouldnt be a press release if it was one sentence... i guess they could say    PSN=Free and Live=$50 a month. But a lot of people would get mad... so they have to explain themselves in the best way thay can... PR Spin... Which i still fail to see what everyone is SO PISSED off about....

Interesting... But this will rub many people the wrong way....

Selling virtual items is not a new concept. It has existed in MMOs like WoW for a long time. Even back in the days of Ultima Online, there was virtual trading of goods in exchange for real world money. I'm sure Blizzard has taken a hard look at the economics of selling virtual goods, however they have stuck with the subscription model.

here you go...

"Very bad sony, very bad...."

"Why does sony think im a broke ass gamer who can't afford things that he wants and needs to budget?

Oh right...cause their system costs an arm and a leg."

"If it were the other way around I doubt you would feel the same way."

^ They don't sound particularly angry to me. Particularly the good colonel. He still loves Sony in his heart of hearts, even if he did trade in his PS3 for a 360.

Selling DLC is the new excuse to not include something in the full version.

LOL...some needs some help in the marketing dept, desparately!
