Sony has learned a thing or two this gen. Their going to go back to what made them kings during the Ps1 and Ps2 era. that was a mainstream price for the casuals and a selection of Hardcore titles for the Hardcore.

if anything PS4 should launch at a price of 299.99-399.99 nothin more nothin less

.. Yes and this means that the PS3 will be sold in stores, have games coming out and be supported for 10 years, just like the PS2.

This does not mean the PS4 will be launched 10 years after the PS3.

IMO, i believe Sony will keep Blu-ray as the medium for PS4 (like how Xbox and Xbox360 are the same format). With all that past HD war they should stick with Blu-ray for along time. But when PS4 comes out im sure they'll use those Quad-layer or even 8-layer blu-ray discs giving alot more space (not like DVD and just DL-DVD)....and hopefully by then devs wont complain about how its hard to make games on blu-ray etc.

I dont know if it is just me but I don't think that the next consoles will evolve in resolution... 1920x1080 will be the standart at least till PS5, Xbox1440 and Wii3....

Sony won't do the same mistake twice. A 50GB Disc that actually is technically mature next gen is more than enough. This gen the DVD is still enough. As long as games like Resident Evil 5, GTA IV, Gears, Fable 2 etc fit on a single DVD, there is no need to get HVD.

Is a HVD-drive compatible with BluRays? If so, I could see MS doing this at best.
