Ok, i ask this because a lot of people say that this is under tracked.

I mean, Japan numbers are under by about 30k according to Famitsu and Media Create i think. This sounds reasonable.

Konami said that they have Shipped over 4.5 Million copies of Metal Gear, and over 4.33 Mil of MGS4 (THIS WAS MONTHS BACK, before CHRISTMAS i think).

This would mean that there are over 600-700k copies sitting on shelves and about 15k are sold every week.

This to me does not sound right, does anyone know of any concrete evidence to show this wrong or true, if so, share it please because alot of people say that it is under tracked and others say that it isn't.

Yeah I've been wondering this too but everyone says its the shipped number but I have a gut feeling that MGS4 has already passed 4M and VGchartz is undertracking it

the Game of the Year in its Best of 2008 roundup of winning titles. The METAL GEAR series is exhibiting
its strength as a brand, steadily increasing the number sold year-to-date to more than 4.5 million units as of
the end of this consolidated third quarter.

Also, these are shipped to retailers.

 Wow.  Retaillers are really banking on this selling alot more.  I don't think if I ran a store I would order so many spare copies.  Maybe Wii Fit or Mario Kart which clearly will sell out stock very quickly but not GTAIV.

Because there are MORE THAN 700K copies are collecting dust on the shelf lmao poor MGS4

Read this kind of thread just made me laugh lol

There are lots of games undertracking on this website, some are even lack of some regions sales like the new Monopoly

Accept the reality PS3 Fanboys, MGS4 is not that huge!
