Forums - Gaming Discussion - Help Me ! I try to choose a new console...

Well, is the PS3 price enough to put you off? Because we don't know when the price cut will happen, and you plan to get a console in the next few weeks. You do get a lot of extra multimedia features with it, and online play is free.

In defense of the x360, if you get one it'll be a Jasper so it runs pretty cool. Mine is one of the last Falcons made and it seems fine enough without buying extra coolers. I haven't bought any accessories for it either, all you need are some rechargeable batteries, most households already have those anyway (you would need that for the Wii too, or buy an extra recharger).

For the Wii this year looks good too, people already said enough about it as a choice. My niece is 3 y/o and enjoys it a lot when they visit, so your kid is not that far off :)

Wii

free online

reliable machine

many many good games(plus all Nintendo's awesome 1st party games like Mario, Smash Bros, Metroid, Mario Kart, Zelda, PunchOut and of course WiiWare...)

best console web browser

you can't go wrong ;)

Now if a Blu Ray player is important to you then a PS3 is a good choice - Some how though.. I think you're more interested in fun ;)

PS3

You get the great PS360 games, as well as the huge numbers of games from Sony's studios, giving you guaranteed exclusives throughout the console's lifetime, especially Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, God of War 3, Final Fantasy XIII and Gran Turismo 5

However, I would wait for April, there will likely be a price cut then

Wii

Good price

Nintendo is known for its reliable machines

Everybody can play

Has Nintendo games plus great third party games around the corner.

You like FPS then you have the best machine with some FPS games though more is on the way.

Free online games and with web browser with a mouse like navigation if you even care for that on a console.

Has VC that offers you games from the past like NES, SNES, N64, old Sega games, old Atari games and more games that you can’t buy on other systems and it is easy to use. Plus you can play all GC games on it.

Has WiiWare which offer you new games.

You have long lasting games and you have games that can be played for a short time at a time.

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

I'd say don't pick the wii if you are really into core games.

I would say pick the ps3. But what you really gotta look at.. is.. What type of games appeal to you ? you say core games which is why i'm cutting out the wii. Then you gotta say. Okay you can get a 360 for this price and a ps3 for that price. Will it be more worth it in the end to get a ps3 ? Do you play online ? what type of accessories would you have to get. Etc.

Honestly i will say that you should look at the system with the most games you find appealing.

You have a Metroid avatar so Wii.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)
Nintendo ID: Mako91                  3DS code: 4167-4543-6089

Get a wii60 for the about the same price as a ps3, and have a HUGE catalog of games to choose from.

the ps3, you cant go wrong with it. I mean no offence to 360 users but honestly the exclusive line up for this year is much better on the ps3. Killzone 2, GOW 3, GT5, inFamous etc. There is free online, blu ray etc.

The Wii has No More Heroes!

The choice is obvious.

lul

I'd suggest the Wii because most devs have or are beginning to realize the potential of the Wii and are shifting their resources to the Wii. And you don't wanna miss when Nintendo makes the new 2D Metroid game for the Wii!...I wish ;_;
