So that doesn't mean normal gamers won't like it.  I don't understand your point.  Its for everybody.

Never said it did. It's just the console of choice for kids. Statements like " there are more core titles known than casuals..." Is just plain wrong.

Kids aren't so bad. After all, we're more hardcore than you :)

Also, may I point you to the Wii's 2009 line up? http://news.vgchartz.com/news.php?id=2811 Just add FFCC: TCB, the Wii-revamped games (like Metroid), Valhalla Knights, and Samurai Warriors 3 and you have a great list with Nintendo's line up still in the dark.

I read the link, but the casual titles didn't explode =(

With the 09 lineup and EA announcing they will shift most of their development teams to Wii, it's quickly becoming the console for everyone. Be prepared for more publishers to put more effort into Wii than PS360--the development costs are a fourth of the costs on the high-def machines.

I really dont care if they consider it a kiddie system since videogames were originaly for kids. Whats wrong witht that? just because a game catered to kids doesnt make it a game? that BS. We were kids once and we enjoyed Mario, Double Dragon, etc. Yeah the demographic has grown up but some of these gamers have jobs and families and dont have time to play.

So by introducing games to every gen of kids, the co will make profit and create a new fanbase. Why do you think nintendo is trying to attract casuals and new gamers?, they're trying to recover, regain, and replace that lost piece of their demographic.

If we say wii is casual we would been saying PS2 is a kiddy console... "Usually people who say the Wii is kiddy are just butthurt PS3 fans or 'roid raging 360 frat boys."

The casual/hardcore thoughs are a just a way to express the frustration from HD consoles users *coughIGNcough*. We all know PS2 was the most sucesfull console cause of its HUGE software library and guess what.... Wii is getting most of developers attention. Also the economic crisis will make devs think twice before they even think about making a big tittle for PS360. Just watch the hardcore tittles coming for wii this year. Third partys are moving their projects. 2009 is a sneak peak of what is coming in the next years.

Casual or not, most of games are being developed for Wii, and as a result it will become in the next supermassive system and is going to outsell PS3 just like DS is outselling PSP. If this truth ruin your life... well im sorry but those are facts like it or not...
