...I never thought about it before but why is it that games for GC/Wii have always been on 1 disc?

Well atleast I have never played a game that isn't just on 1 disc.

Is it something Nintendo has as rule for all developers to follow or can't it be done?

I mean even during the PS1 era there were games on 2-3 or even 4 discs so the technology is there.

 

Any thoughts? answers? anything?  please

That LOTR game for GC was atleast 2 disks.

I'm sure most games for the Wii can easily fit on a DVD since most games last gen could fit on the GC disks. Plus, with double the disks comes more costs in production and you can bet publishers will be willing to cut any corners they can to save money.

Maybe because they didn't require the game to be two discs? I think the ones that did required it wouldn't be able to fit in one disc or something...

baten kaitos, resident evil 0,1,4, tales of symphonia, metal gear,phantasy star online, and fire emblem there all 2 disc games. probably they get charge per disc and most developers choose to put everything in just one.

because the more discs u have the more royalties to nitendo u have 2 pay
