Actually Square has made some awesome non-RPG games such as Einhander and Bushido Blade. Unfortunately they figured out somewhere in the early 2000s that it was easier to do Final Fantasy re-releases twice a year for all time. Still, you're miles ahead of Contestant No. 2:

I am almost ashamed that this person breathes the same oxygen as me. I smile indulgently at people whose first "real" game was FF7 on the PSX so therefore it must be the best; but to say it was Square's ONLY truly great game goes beyond rose-colored glasses straight into willful ignorance. Anyway: Nintendo.
