Wii is exactly like PSOne and PS2 in terms of games: Has LOADS of crap, but also has some very good stuff too. You can expect it to have some classics in the years to come, so my recommendation is to keep it.

Don't look at the bad games when deciding which console you want, look at the good games. The first actually promising third party games are starting to arrive (Nights, RE:UC, No More Heroes), and there are definitely going to be more of Nintendo's kickass first party games next year.

We're probably not going to be seeing as strong a lineup as what Nintendo has during the next 4 months on any console for the next couple of years, but that's no reason to despair.

Once you put a casual game on the PS3, it is no longer considered crappy.

@ twesterm... Whahaha... 'stop bitchin at every chance i get?!'... I usually DEFEND NINTENDO U DUMBASS... But i don't like this casual trend. And yes... Im not gonna buy em. But thats why im waiting for Super smash bros Brawl. Metroid 3. Mario Galaxy en Mario kart Wii... And then, im gonna et myself an X360 and keep playing my DS!... And play my cube.

My point is. I dont like the way 3th parties threat the Wii... So don't act like im all hate and stuff towards Nintendo. Cuzz that would be a freakin lie.

Example: The system i own are:

Gameboy classic.

Gameboy color.

Nintendo 64.

Nintendo Gamecube.

DS(phat).

Wii.

DSlite.

So twesterm... Don't even ACT like im full of hate towards Nintendo... If u would read carefully and have seen some of my posts in other threads then u might understand the trend 3th party Wii games are heading... Towards crap that is. (But not for all like Resident evil and Zack and Wiki etc...)

 And yes... There are some promising 3th party games on the way like

Zack and wiki

Nights

No more heroes

Resi umbrella corp.

FF: Chrystal chronicles.

Etc... But you can't deny... That most of the 3th party games coming out are CRAP or CASUAL (for me its the same... For some of you it isn't)... But there are some gems between those games. Just look at the PS2 for example... Same thing.

 So lets look at what LBP is:

1. A physics simulator
2. A level editor
3. Sometihng you can share with your friends.
4. Somewhat realistic art style

Those are the four basic things for LBP minus the gameplay (because I honestly don't know what it is, it would awesome if someone could fill that in for me).

Now, lets look at what Blocks is:

1. A physics simulator
2. A level editor
3. Something you can share with your friends (confirmed multiplayer and assuming Wifi similar to Elebits and Dewey's Adventure).
4. Cartoonish art style
5. Puzzle gameplay

Despite what you may think, this topic really is just flamebait for people to whine about whether or not they like certain games.

I actually think MySims will be a great game...tons of customization, great for Sims fans. I may even get it if it's deep enough.

I understand you love your Wii and you're disappointed in current 3rd party games...but you need to focus on making more balanced and fair threads about it...saying each of these games looks like sh*t and that's it won't do...sorry.

Yes, it's "the curse of the most popular system". I wouldn't be calling Wii Fit and Wii Play as crap, Wii Play is one of the most fun gaming experiences in a long time. Can't say about Wii Fit, but after Play and Sports, i have high expectations. You know what you are complaining about? You complain about that you have something to choose from. The industrys core audience is the so called casual, which means that it's natural that developers make games for them. Even that Nintendo hasn't announced more traditional gamers games, besides the ones you mentioned, it doesn't mean that there wouldn't be more of them.
Anyway, we will be seeing 3rd party games to which have been put effort. I believe that you can count Nights in to one of them, and don't forget, that many have stated Sonic and the secret rings being the best 3D Sonic ever, which means that comparably there has been effort to that game.

But still, there are few too many quick cash-ins, but that's mostly because developers was caught their pants down with Wiis success and they had 360 and PS3 projects going.
