It was the hype of the PS2 that killed the Dreamcast.  I still wanna see these "Toy Story 2 Graphics" the PS2 was supposed to have.

if we are talking about the WHOLE PS2 library...puh-lease don't joke

if we are talking about the comparative Ps2 library in that timeframe....maybe

but dreamcast came out a year before Ps2 (or two years)

a year to two years later PS2 had games like FFX, MGS2, GT3, GTA 3 (not sure bout this one)....so yet again the Ps2 wins then

It took a long time for the quality of the PS2's library to surpass the DC's and I can ensure you that when that happened there were far more games on the PS2 than the DC ever had. The number of quality games on the DC was unusually high relative to it's library size.

At launch people weren't buying the PS2 because it had better games than the DC. The DC had one of the best launch line-ups in history. Gamer's bought into the hype of the PS2 moreso than anything else, particularly in those early stages.

Pah, I still own 2 dreamcasts and a load of backups. I can tell you now people look back at the dreamcast with some kind of rose tinted nostalgia glasses. It wasn't that good.

Arcade ports a plenty and a few very good RPGs do not = an amazing console.

I think the 32x was better...I don't think anyone would be seen dead agreeing with me there.

Give me Knuckels Chaotix over Sonic Adventure any day of the week.
