Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Tiger Woods 09 on Wii has me in love with the system again

I finally got it, which is wierd because I got a Wii after playing Wii golf.  I loved tiger on 360,but this is an example of a Wii control game that you can't go back on.  It's even got online.  Just started playing it this afternoon, and am diving into career mode.  Nothing beats actually swinging to play a golf game.  It's refreshing to have the loud 360 off for a bit for a change, been a while.  But with the options and stuff going on, I think this will take forever.

The graphics are better on 360 yes, but this reminds me of tiger 03-06 on old xbox, and thats not bad.  Coupled with the control its a game I can't go back on.

How are the other all play games?  are they this good?  speaking more on motion controls, online, and career mode.

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

*Wii fanboy hat on*

All-Play games are superior in all regards to 360/PS3 versions. Also, due to the rock bottom cost of development on the Wii, All-Play games should be priced around $19.99, new, in the future.

Don't ever go back. You should get the football and basketball attachments for your Wiimote, for the full experience.

*hat off*

Honestly, Tiger Woods is it, due to the nature of the controls. The other All-Play games don't really come close, since there isn't really a natural match for the motion controller in the gameplay, unlike golf.  If there was an All-Play baseball game, it might end up decent, however.

a basketball game where you shoot would be neat but hard to do, maybe on the free throws.

too bad to hear they're not that good.

I have Madden 09 all-play and it is great.  Motion works   not great  but not bad either. Online is excellent   dont even need friend codes to get to know people. I have never played Madden before but this is the best you can get on Wii for shure. Cant compare to any other console when I havent tried any

Why isn't there a Tennis All-Play?

There will be a Tennis game from EA this year. Who knows maybe it will be a Tennis All-play

All-Play Tennis might be pretty fun. I hope it has a career mode.

Man, I've wanted a beefier golf game on my Wii ever since playing Wii Sports Golf (it's my favorite Wii Sports mini-game by far... lots of fun!), and Tiger Woods '09 All-Play looked to fulfill that need... and then Nintendo announced WiiMotion+. I'm not a huge sports gamer, so I'm really only looking to buy one golf game during this generation.

I know that Tiger Woods '10 will have a really awesome golfing experience with 1:1 controls... and I can't wait. >_<

Glad to know that you're enjoying the game.

Madden is great, Tiger is better, NBA and NCAA Football both not so much. The Tennis game supporting WM+ will hopefully be good but no one's actually seen anything on it yet.

PES2008 demonstrated that you could do quite a bit with the Wiimote to improve a sports game without resorting to flailing the Wiimote around ... Personally, I would love it if EA took those controls to the next level with NHL 2010 for the Wii.
