I reckon the PS3 version will beat the Xbox 360 version by around 500k.

In Japan and Others ps3 but i think Us the sales will be quite large for 360 perhaps 360 will outsell it.

i agree with the OP. PS3 will probably lose in sales but ve really close.

I guess the situation would be very similar to Devil may cry 4:
PS3 NA+PAL+JAPAN vs X360 NA+PAL

It'll sell more on 360, by a few hundred thousand imo.

I think it's definatly possible. Given RE had a substantial fanbase on the original Playstation there could be a lot of PS3 only owners looking forward to this game.

Me I won't be buying this one. I haven't finished 4 as is, but this one seems to be ridiculous. Also, My budget is flatlined at the moment... I will eventually play the demo and see what I think of it.

With a significant nudge to the Xbox 360 in the U.S and given the games poor showing in Europe previously its likely most of the people buying the game will be new to the series anyway. This gives the Xbox 360 a significant advantage.

I pick the Xbox 360 sales will LTD at 40% higher than the PS3 version.

from what i've seen from LBP and Resistance 2 I'm more inclined to believe that RE5 will outsell KZ2 on PS3.

I think 360 will in by a significant margin. RE is no longer big in Japan, especially now when franchise turned into a shooter. 360 owners proved that they buy loads and loads of software, and RE5 sales can be undermined by KZ2.
