Given the fact that the series is seeing declining sales, RE5 is multi-platform and that the PS3 is not selling well in Japan (where a big part of RE sales are at), do you think RE5 for PS3 will outsell RE4:Wii?

yes, this is an easy call, everybody knows that PS3 can move more software of this kind of games...

Why the large drop in sales for RE3?

I really like that game, with the ammo mixing and bullet making.

It should be able to... if it doesn't that will suck... as for shitty number from the 3rd one... 2 was so good that 3 just looked like a pile of turd after it.

^I personally prefer #3 over #2. #2 is far too indoors whereas #3 takes you through the urban areas.

Nemesis is a more satisfying foe to beat than Mr. X, and drops better stuff. I particular look forward to the infinite bullets box dropped by him after I beat him all 7 times at the 2nd playthrough.

Lickers are lame enemies compared to the Hunters (although the Hunters don't look as handsome as in RE1 and RECVX).

RE 4 sold 6.19m!!!(PS2 + WII + GC)!!!

There may be a fair bit of bad word of mouth due to people not enjoying the control scheme

Remember it's an action game now so not being able to run and gun may not be desirable to people

Also apparently the 360 version is better (according to that thread earlier today) so that will work against it.. Probably not only because it's multiplatform

I'm gunna say yes, because at the time the declining sales were coming because of intense competition. The ps2 was releasing like 5 platinum games a month when re4 came out.

its an exaggeration, but really, when resie 1,2,3 came out they didn't have much to worry about.

Yeah, I'm guessing there are a lot of overlapping sales there, especially between GC and Wii.
