I'm still surprised that Nintendo is going to release all of their biggest titles within the next 5 months or so - oh, and I forgot Wii Fit!


So what do you think, which games is Nintendo working on for later in 2008? And beyond? When are we going to see new announcements?

Maybe there will be talk of a new Zelda game, once all the big games mentioned are released. Personally, I wil be more than happy with SMG and Mario Kart (and the PAL release of SPM) for a long time, I'm just thinking about Nintendo's strategy here.

I think they already said something about a Wii Zelda (TP was a GC port, wasn't it?).
A second "Wii Play" game. (for the zapper)

I would guess a Wii Sports 2 will come some day (using Balance Board + Wii mode?). Another Mario Party will come for sure. And well, maybe a Donkey Kong game.

But your right, i also thought about how Nintendo is bringing all the big guns out till early 08. They seem to be confident to keep up with demand at some point. What big franchise Nintendo has left for the Wii, all the Big seem to come in a little over 1 Year. Nintendo has to fill 5. So i think, they have plans they don't talk about at the moment.

The have a lot of franchises they could work with. And Mario Kart is coming out next summer to even next fall. Don't bet on it being a January 08 release.

The could have Animal Crossing Wii, Pikmin Wii, the new Miyamoto franchise, and a revival of an old franchise [Kid Icarus?]. Plus they could as well show the new zelda, or at least mention it.

I see a March release for Mario Kart, but yeh, i see Animal Crossing, Pikmin and Kid Icarus coming, along with Wii titles like Wii Music, and with new IPs like Disaster: Day of Crisis

... and unknown new or reborn franchises from Nintendos past

Add those to my post above and Nintendo could have a pretty solid line-up for 08. Let alone thrid-party...

Alright my list for 2008:
Mario Kart, SSX for the Wiiboard, Wiifit, Disaster DoC, Icarus, Pilotwings, Next Zelda, Star Wars Saber Battles, Punchout, Castlevania. Alright I made some of these up but if just this list came true I would be a happy man.

Yeah, I bet Nintendo's already working on Mario Golf & Tennis games. They probably held them back to give EA and others a chance to make some money.

Starfox, I forgot about that. I hope they go back to the roots, that would be awesome.

Kid Icarus - I'm still sceptic, cause I think it would be to similar to Zelda games.

Uaaaah! Don't say that! Mario Kart is by far my most anticipated game.
