Halo isn't even a big in the rts genre.. don't diss the whole genre by claiming it would need to be killed by anything. Halo doesn't need to be killed either. I've played many fps games that were better. Before halo 1 too. (though i will give it that it expanded the console shooter audience and opened up for console shooters properly)

Anyways, the OP (or rather the bottom end of it) looks like what a one sided person would say to promote a product and flame bait at the same time.

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

I think I will. I write for another site, so I spend a lot of time on my own forums. I wont plug it here, dont worry. But I do like following the numbers, so I started coming here and found your forums to be quite entertaining.

Sony has to hold its ground, and win small victories where it can. Otherwise it will not hold its ground, and will most definitely lose the war. I know your all in the war mentality, but a good deception is often hidden behind a lousy one. Did it occur to no one that the author might have set up a lose lose situation. Look what he has accomplished through this thread all on his own. He has you attacking a exclusive game for your console, downplaying its significance, and censoring yourself. Hell he has total control of your frame of mind. He is making you guys into his bitches. Just as he has done time and again. He riles you guys into throwing tantrums. Then he gets you all turned about, and suddenly before you know it your conceding losing points, and trying to spin shit that cannot be spun. He is making you hurt yourselves, and your not even seeing it for what it truly is. Have you ever come out clean from one of these shit storms. No you have not. Your argument is shot to ribbons, and left on the battlefield, and your reputation has gone to shit. The original poster is probably a lot smarter then you give him credit for. Either that or he has flawless instincts. Either way your going to lose this fight. The only way to defeat him is to take the discussion to higher ground, or avoid the discussion. Your not going to beat him in the muck, and your definitely not going to succeed through your own fear. Which is what he has you now afraid to seem excited, or even positive. While I can appreciate this post, you fail to realize is that no one is being "made a bitch." The threadstarter is in fact doing exactly what you described, but you are grouping all responses into one mass. Some of us who bothered to post in fact "took the high road" instead of trying to temper expectations for Under Siege. I myself did not have a hint of damage control in my post, and others can say the same.
And yet I find irony in the situation, because around here its common thinking that fans of the PS3 should in fact be tempering expectations for their exclusives. Everyone has been screaming for the Killzone hype to come down. Same for Uncharted, Infamous, God Of War, and any other exclusive PS3 gets. When people hype a game, others get upset and annoyed. When they try not to hype a game, people like you want to believe they are being manipulated by a more intelligent poster. Jokes all around.

Funny how an XBox 360 fanboy is already trying to create the moniker Halo Wars killer lol. Halo Wars hasn't even proven itself yet.
