And even if Halo Wars were a very good RTS, would Halo fans like it? If the franchise were an automatic seller for everything, MS would be very right to do Halo platforms, Halo driving games, Halo puzzles, Halo cooking games, Lego Halo theme park tycoon games and so on...

Too categoric. RTS is a genre quite vague, often including what could better be called RTT, Real Time Tactics, where we can find very atypical RTS, like Myth I and II, that are often very loved by people not liking classic RTS' (alas after Myth II came Myth III that was so crappy to kill an excellent series).

Edit: the biggest objection I could make, instead, is that I can't imagine playing one without a mouse or trackball...

I love FPS,TPS,adventure,action,hack and slash,and platforming.(I don't mind sport games either)

I hate RPG,JRPG,SRPG and I find RTS very boring .
