Forums - General Discussion - Nurse suspended for prayer offer

She got her job back today. The NHS don't condone what she did, but said she had the best intentions. In other words the media started a campaign for justice... Fucking daily fucking mail, I hate the daily mail and their campaign for fucking justice!!!

(Not related to this case, just the campaign for justice overall lol)

that is just terrible, that is some bitter sick old woman. If there is a hell she will burn in it (I believe there is)

I think you're the sick one.

How am I sick? I did not say I want her to burn in hell. I stated a fact. IF there is a hell (than christianity is true, and she obviosly is not one) she will go to it.

You see according to Christianity, if you are not saved, you will go to hell. I would like to see her saved and not go to hell, but if she is not even open to a prayer I doupt she is open to Jesus.

Also when I called her sick, I was reffering to her state of health, I should have worded that better.

There's no burning in hell, according to older texts. It's just nothingness, not being brought back from the dead, or seperation from god. Burning and all that crap was just added in by douchebags for the scare factor, to make it easier to control people.

That's why you're sick.

older text? wtf are you talking about. Your description sounds a bit like the ancient greek idea of the afterlife for the bad people, the underword.

The Bible which christians follow clearly states that hell is a literal place with fire. Even Jesus himself described hell as a place of fire and torment, to deny this, is to deny Christ's teachings. To deny Christ's teaching means your a not a christian.

I'm talking about Judaism, the religion christianity is based upon... Jewish texts are older, correct?

Actually, you can deny lots of christs teaching when you're an apologetic christian. To some christians, not everything in the bible is divine. It's the word of god through man, not the word of god itself. That excuse lets you pick and choose anything you want.

Actually I believe there were no errors in the bibles record. I believe the entire thing is inspired by God. The only errors would be in translations due to many times there is not a good why to explain in one language what is trying to be conveyed in another. Just like how many times in the Videogames industry translation from Japanese games sometimes muddles the message that was more clear in the original language, that is why people who go to Seminary study both Greek and Hebrew, so they can read the originals, it clears things up a bit in many cases.
