I mean Cybermorph

Gah.  Beat me to the Night trap joke.  Duck Hunt?  I say only because it was a game my dad actually liked.

In order:

Super Mario 64 (US) + the Star Wars game
Super Mario World (US)
Halo 1 (US)
Virtua Fighter 2 (JP/Sat)
Twisted Metal (US/PS1)

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Got to be Halo.
It carried a unknown system past a nintendo one.

Mario 64 should run away with this one for home consoles. The game by which all 3d platform games will be judged.

But as far as overall, Tetris for Game Boy was about the biggest thing to EVER hit gaming. It even made adults want to play handheld games (which was, by many industry experts) thought impossible. No game has identified with so many different people and created such a vast audiance.

Some will try to argue Wii Sports but I will disagree because that game has not exactly opened up the market for buying games at this point. It has swayed a lot of gamers but as of right now, there is no proof that the game is actually broadening the market like Tetris did.

Am I the only person who despised mario 64... it turned me off of nintendo if it had not been for golden eye, i never would have bought a N64, and do not get me wrong i normally love mario games. from super mario to paper mario. 3 was the best that i have played so far, but i think i may go back and play GC games when i get a wii. as for best launch thats hard, it may not be a launch game but FF VII got me into a new system and game type, then halo made me change again.

I don't believe VF2 was a launch title for the dreamcast was it? I believe the original Virtua Fighter WAS a launch title for the saturn, though, and I bought the console just for that. My vote is therefore Virtua Fighter... Mario 2D or 3D doesn't do it for me -- just doesn't hold my interest long enough to finish it. I've tried over the years but just couldn't ever really get into it.

I hate trolls.

Systems I currently own:  360, PS3, Wii, DS Lite (2)
Systems I've owned: PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, Saturn, 3DO, Genesis, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, GBA, GB, C64, Amiga, Atari 2600 and 5200, Sega Game Gear, Vectrex, Intellivision, Pong.  Yes, Pong.

I really have to go with SMB on this one. It is the reason any of the other mentioned games even exist.

To Each Man, Responsibility

Super Mario 64, hands down.

Send me a message if you want to be Wii friends.

Super Mario 64

Boy that's a tough one. It's a toss up between Geo Wars, Mario 64 or Soul Calibur.

I guess I'll say Soul Calibur.
