Wait was Goldeneye 007 not a launch title for the N64? I forget now but if it was, my vote would go to that. Mario 64 is amazing and all, but Goldeneye... wow... best FPS ever for the win! I'm sure it was a launch but I'm not 100%...

Obvious: Mario 64

Is it just me or are the launch titles for just about every other console completely forgettable? Except from a few mentions of halo, nobody says anything of the genesis or any of the playstations

I think it is a contest between Mario 64 and Wii Sports, IMO. Wii Sports has pushed a "technically" inferior console ahead of a two time undisputed champion and a newcomer who beat Nintendo in its first generation. Mario 64 because the sheer enjoyment in that game and it's impact on the industry continue to influence games today.

Super Mario Bros - on the NES (I think that counts as a launch title?)

Was Tetris a launch title for the Gameboy?

Otherwise - probably Super Mario 64. Halo was also very good, and Wii Sports probably wins in terms of pushing the most hardware (but couldn't be considered by "us" to be the best "game").
