can you name few multiplats where this is the case?
I can see where this would be a problem for those with the smaller hard drives but being a PC guy for years, I learned the art of uninstalling games that I didn't play anymore in favor of the latest and greatest. At most its a minor problem. Whats the big deal?
I saw that coming a mile away. Seems that only SONY's first party and a very small few 3rd parties [Like Criterian] can get things running like Killzone 2 and Uncharted. I'd understand if this was a huge game like MGS4...

The thing I hate about PS3 installs is the difference in feeling between the Xbox 360 and PS3 installs. Whenever I install a game on the Xbox 360 I feel like my console is smiling at me, but whenever I install a game on the PS3 I get the frown!

Resident evil is a huge game. It's been huge since the beginning. 5 gbs isn't much out of 40 unless you have like a crap load of music and movies on your ps3. you can always take it off and put it back on afterwards ya know

I did some clean up of my harddrive this week end and noticed some old stuff.
Dead Space has no install at all !
Bioshock has a 5.3 Gig install...
Some of that stuff really doesn't make any sense....
PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !
PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

I think GTA IV and a few other streaming games had less pop-in and texture issues on PS3. Not that they looked better as such, just that an HDD outperforms a DVD so on a streaming world you're always going to see a better result with HDD vs disk in terms of pop-in.
What interests me is the news that KZ2 relies heavily on streaming but has no install. Guess its possible but takes a lot of specific effort to achieve (i.e. exclusive title vs multiplatform).
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Thank U i belive DMC4 also ran better on the ps3 faster load times
i didn't mean in like that though disolitude if the game does benifit from the install im all for it
People need to chill out with these oh God i can't wait for the install i want to play the game so badly i can understand the issue bout the space but tha's Y the latest sku's have bigger HDDs. Thats another thing wrong with are society nobody has any patience any more like back in the olden times were people were'nt always rushing to do things
