Forums - General Discussion - I'll be gone for 2 weeks... (Medical Reasons)

Bye my favorite Versus fan! I hope all goes well!

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

We'll see you in 2 weeks seraphic. You'll get to see your family, and get healthy at the same time. Just don't panic, all right?

Thanks man, will do.

Flying is all right.........I flew alone once. I think you're more likely to get struck by lightning then crash while in a plane. I hated the airport experience, because I got checked quite thoroughly (not THAT thoroughly!).

Oh, they did :(

They stopped just short of putting a glove on though. Now that would have been a horrible situation!

^--- Yikes....................... Why? lol..

You and I have never really seen eye to eye since were in different camps. But I wish you the best and will be thinking happy thoughts for you! I have had a couple surgeries in the past and they have always been nerve racking. Try and stay as calm as you can and try not to jump to any conclusions before the Dr. tells you whats going on.

Here are a few things you need to keep in mind (in no particular order) :

1) If your hurting there is no need being in pain, ask for something to help you. The Dr. will try and give you the absolute minimum unless you ask for something more. You may have to stay on the nurses, but it is their jobs to take care of you.

2) You can never ask to many questions. The only stupid question is the one you haven't asked.

3) Try and do as much research on your Surgeon and Anesthesiologist as possible. This is probably the biggest thing you need to do. Poor Dr's have a track record and they are pretty easy to find.

4) This sounds strange but try and make sure your as clean as possible, and anyone else who comes in to contact with you is too. Staff infections are really serious problems now and are spread easily in many hospitals.

Those are just a few, I am sure there are more but just try and keep calm and get some sleep the night before the surgery.

GOOD LUCK!
