Forums - Nintendo Discussion - nintendo should improved Smash Brawl's online ?

I love Brawl, but the online sucks more than a vacuum

it would be amazing if nintendo improved Brawl's online modes

What do you think about that ?

With all the complaints about Nintendo not catering to their core gaming demographic, I must say the biggest complaint I have with them is that in at least some regions they STILL have major issues with SSBB on-line "play anyone" mode. Their directory servers are either completely broken, ill managed, or set up so poorly that people in many locations will NEVER find anyone to play against. I find it highly doubtful that there is NO ONE ELSE looking for a match. Hell, I could STILL find matches on Super Mario Strikers Charged just 2 months ago, so there must be TONS of people TRYING to play Brawl.

I love this game... but NEVER play it anymore... FIX THIS NINTENDO.

Online play was the main reason the game was delayed as many times as it was.  I don't think it will happen.  When was the last time Nintendo released a fireware update to fix online play?

Pixel Art can be fun.

i was once playing brawl online this guy who always chose lucas kept on beating me i went offline came back on i found myself fighting the same guy. They should also put more characters especially Midna

Why did you reply to yourself so many times?

They aren't going to "fix" it. When has Nintendo ever patched their games? Their online just isn't that strong. But yes SSBB does have pretty sucky online.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

i understand that once you start a match, you reling on each others internet connection (no game servers that they have to go through) but they could at least do something to the game servers to make it where you can find someone. if they could fix that, that would automatically make it a million times better.

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=47568

I dunno, pretty much most of the online issues I have with Brawl are caused by other users. Namely lag (caused by bad connections) and freezing caused by people dropping out. I'd like them to change some stuff though

1) If someone drops out don’t crash the game have them vanish
2) Allows players to 'wait' for a game like with MKWii (i.e. watch then join)
3) Allow players to choose their own tracks (from the brawl playlist) for the waiting room. I'm getting sick of that tune.
4) Oh and bar people with poor connections

There's no way Nintendo will mod the online though, maybe for the next Smash Bros.

Nintendo just needs to fix their online

yes, they should of, but thats the same for every game on the Wii (actually I take that back, MKWii's online is great.)

it needs to not lag, have user names, no friend codes for every single game and just one for every game, etc.

itll be fixed by the time the next game comes out
