Even if it is great it's not like it matters since MS shut down ES so there shouldn't be a sequel from the same company.

It won't. Halo Wars will live and have great legs for RTS console players (if their are any) and it will get Halo fans to purchase it also. If it so fails then we won't see a sequel as many suggested above.

I didn't make this thread out of fanboyism buddy. I didn't exactly mean kill the franchise, my point was if it turned out to be horrible could it scar the name or will no one care because it was made by a different studio and it isn't anything like the other halo games.

maybe a lil damage but most people are already expressing concern for it so if it does turn out to be bad (which i hope it doesnt) people will be ready. I am looking forward to this title and hope it is very good xplay went hands on with it and they enjoyed it

People are still hanging on for a good sonic game.

Age of Empires III was their last game they develop it didnt get great reviews and it going to be hard for halo wars considering it on a console and alot of reviewers out their didnt even put on it ANTICIPATING GAMES list but getting to main question no it will just kill halo wars series

Halo is known as a shooter. Halo Wars is probably as good as Tom Clancy's End War or better.

1: Its made by ensemble, it wont be crap.

2: Plenty of bad mario games have been made and that hasn't diminished its popularity.

3: Look at sonic even though its a shadow of its former self it still sells millions.


If halo wars sucks and thats one mighty if, it wont negatively effect the series as halo is still primarily an FPS thats hugely popular. In order for the Halo franchise to be ruined a main series halo would have to be rubbish and with Bungie at the helm I very much doubt that will ever happen.
