MGS4 is a game for fans of the series, while KZ2 could well be a game for everyone (well, everyone who has a PS3 of course).

Hmm that's right, it'll be out for 2 days of its first week in Europe, and in America it'll be out for 4 days of its first week, so I'm going to have to change my first week to:

Bad marketing: 500K first week

Good Marketing: 800K first week

Seriously, I don't agree with darth hardly ever, but he/she is correct. If you or others think it's gonna have MGS/GTA 4 numbers, folks need to lay off the geezus juice.

I'm bookmarking this thread in the unlikely event that folks are calling it a success and it ends up nowhere near their predictions.

I'll go with 550K first week, max 2 million lifetime, if that.

 

 

If call of duty can reach 4mil, on ps3, Killzone 2 should be able to the same thing. There's bundle in europe too, so it's not that crazy like you think. It depends how it's advertised, of course.

My prediction is 600k first week and, 4 million lifetime.

1st week: 300k WW

Lifetime: About 500k less than COD4

 

This is not a popular franchise.  You need to look at it like a new IP in a crowded genre.  Temper those expectations!

Yes Indeed. My prediction Is that 4,500,000 Is thd absolute MAX Killzone could get. In hindsight I'd say it'll prob end between myself and your Lifetime Prediction ie ~ 4 Million
