Forums - Sales Discussion - Famitsu (1/28) sales

Sure looks like the New Play Control-lineup was a good decision :) In Japan, atleast.

Next week will be far more interesting sales-wise...

What games are released then?

I agree Crystal Breakers is cooler, haha.

WE2009 Wii is even later? Strange, it should be (at least in Japan) a much higher priority for Konami. Don't know if FFCCEoT will sell well on Wii. It's a DS game after all. 20,000 would be a big success in my eyes.

I agree - Konami should have released all the versions at the same time. But apparently PS3 one got preferential treatment, although I think PSP/Wii revs combined would sell far more if they were released at the same time as the PS3 version.

23k for Fragile would be terrible.

The 30k VGChartz had would be good, but with 23k first week it's doubtful for the game to ever reach even 100k of sales.

Just 23 000 copies for Fragile? Big disappointment.. What's wrong with Japan?

Take a look at my photos on flickr

I'll update OP with some comparisons from Sinobi:

Trusty Bell 360 - 44k
Trusty Bell PS3 - 30k
Fragile Wii - 23k

Haruhi PSP - 71k
Haruhi PS2 - 113k
Haruhi Wii - 19k

*First week sales for Tri-Crescendo games, first week sales for Haruhi.

No, it's just a comparison of Tri-Crescendo sales on different platforms...

You may just as well compare BioShock with 428 or something. PS2\PSP Haruhi are visual novels, Wii Haruhi is a rhythm game. Wait for announced Haruhi visual novel title to be released on Wii, then compare. Personally, I think Haruhi rhythm game could do a lot better than we may expect from it judging by it's first week... well, those types of games usually have legs, visual novels - never, front loaded titles.

I honestly thought the rhythm game would sell more than the novels. It looked pretty ambitious.
