Okami. No changes needed.

Okami

To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made.  I won't open my unworthy mouth.

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

ohh i kinda agree with whorenraged about tetris.

but, aside from tetris, it would be a sword and shield style action/adventure game that had some heavy rpg elements as well as plenty of platforming elements and puzzles. it would have a deep long story-driven campaign but the gameplay would be a mix of adventuring and action/platform based around a pick-up-and-play style so that you don't have to dedicate hours at a time to it like you would a normal adventure or rpg game. 1-to-1 motion controls for the sword and shield or duel-wielding weapons. AI would be beyond anything yet concieved, graphics would be 360/ps3 level but with hundreds of on screen characters possible (so a little bit less detail but more objects on screen). the world would be huge and open ended free to wander and take on side quests where ever and whenever you want with almost a sandbox like mentality to it (think oblivion, not gta). and the bosses would be epic. Difficulty levels from moderate to extreme. it would be 4 player co-op and have local and online deathmatch type battles in arenas with enough players in one match to have a war-like experience in larger arenas, we'll say up to 100 person matches.

basically some sort of action rpg that was a combination, in order of relevance, of zelda, final fantasy, mario, oblivion, gaunlet, shadow of the colossus, lost vikings, and halo/any game that features intense multiplayer online deathmatch. with current gen hd graphics, AI much better than current gen, and control using two wii motion+ controllers.

end of '08 predictions: wii - 43 million,  360 - 25 million, ps3 - 20 million

Castlevania 3 : Draculas curse with new and improved graphics

#1  Take the attention to story, the love for cuts scenes and the desire to actually tell you a tale that you can get interested in, characters you can get attached to, dialog trees and full voice acting for everyone possible of your typical RPG (W or J).

#2 Throw the combat totally in the trash can.  The only RPGish thing to keep is inventory, modifications of items and real deal stats (not your acion game stats where its like, "combo", "super move", "health").

#3 Take the action from ANY OTHER GAME... Halo, Ninja Gaiden, God of War, Dead or Alive, Call of Duty 4, Marvel vs Capcom, hell even Madden, NBA 2K series or Forza.

I get so mad that RPGs are the only genre that cares about story and characters enough to really work hard and create good ones like 100% of the time.  Even a bad RPG has a better story, dialog and characters than like the best non-rpg games.  Every once in a blue moon a non-rpg will have these things on the same level as an RPG, but thats sooooooooooooo rare.  Its like maybe 3 games per generation that pull this off.

Outside of Mass Effect and Chrono Trigger, I get so mad that RPGs usually have crap combat.  JRPGs use like the worst of turn based systems.  Chrono Trigger was by far the best.  I wish the whole genre would have just blatantly copied that and kept trying to improve upon it.  Real-time combat in a RPG (J or W) usually just means mindless brainless button mashing or something like Fallout 3 or Jade Empire where the action is terrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible if you compared it to a real action game in a similar genre (ie compare Fallout 3 to any FPS or Jade Empire to like Ninja Gaiden, God of War, etc).

Mario Kart w/ these few changes:
1. 16 added courses: 8 New (5 SMG related, 3 character courses), and 8 old courses w/ Yoshi Valley and Wario Colliseum
2. Ability to edit stats for karts/bikes. (Hacking is impossible.)
3. In battle, you can have 2, 3, 4, 6, or free-for-all teams.
4. CPU's don't cheat.

I don't know exactly what, but I'm certain that it would feature Tali.
