Wow the only series to ever pull out a perfect game in my eyes (not OoT, LttP is perfect) to be overrated yet I'm very hard on games...

I would say Final Fantasy series, Grand Theft Auto series and Gran Turismo series are much more over rated than Zelda series.

I've always acknowledged that Zelda was an amazing series even though I can't personally stand it.

obviously not every game has ultimate appeal to every gamer. One player may love Zelda and one may dislike it like yourself. Same things goes for GTA. A lot of people enjoy GTA games, and I can not stand them. Is the Legend of Zelda series over rated...absolutely not!!!

lol its a clasic to me, even though I didnt grow up playing it it still has that clasic nature and thats what brings me back to it. Its old school! and it keeps that old school even if its 3D. Same as metroid :)

overrated, but only in the sense that it's oftenly named the best franchise of all time with the best games of all time and "perfect".

Otherwise, I think they're pretty close.
