I left PC gaming late last year, I have a quad core pc (4gb ram, 8800GT etc) that will run almost all the latest games but I still gave up PC gaming, why? because console gaming is better and MUCH more fun with a lot less hassle (driver issues, compatibility issues, rubbish keyboard/mouse controls etc), and all the pc gamers saying graphics are so much better on pc's, it isn't THAT much better at all, not if your running 1080P on the PS360's and even then why spend a fortune on all your pc components when the consoles are so much cheaper and offer more? I made that mistake with my pc and won't be doing it EVER again lol.

I know some won't agree but hey, not everyone is the same

P.S, my views count as nothing so don't moan at me, I have no control over my hands....

LOL, a $500 easily gives better graphics than a PS3/X360, and PC is more hassle-free than ever before especially with Steam!

There's no doubt: PC gaming is cheaper than PS360 gaming, because:

1. PCs are cheaper than ever before
2. PCs last longer than ever before
3. PC games are cheaper than ever before
4. PC have millions of times more freebies such as mods, services, free games, etc...
5. Consoles are more expensive than ever before
6. Console games are more expensive than ever before

I thought you supported the console that is doing bad. So if your a 360 fanboy then the 360 must be doing really bad, right?

I left PC gaming because my computer sucks horribly. Finally switched to consoles after getting dead tired of the lag and other things.

Now while it's nice being able to play on a big HD TV, not having to worry about system specs/long load times, and no longer being stuck on the keyboard at my desk, I haven't really played any console game that's managed to impress me like PC games did.

Many console gamers have no idea what they're missing out on. If PC's exclusive shooters made it to consoles, the Halo series would probably be viewed as casual.

Like Shio mentioned, mods is where PC gaming shines - you get much more bang for your buck than any console could ever provide. It's basically an unlimited supply of free downloadable content that comes every few days.

5. Relative to what? A 199$ Xbox is pretty cheap if you ask me, and all consoles will get cheaper as we get further into their lifecycle, so no.

Don't get me wrong, I love good PC gaming, but you are overblowing the issue. Besides, you are missing the most obvious one, unless that goes under your definition of "free games"
