Obviously Nintendo has made motion controllers easier, wireless, and applied them to many more uses. But, I always hear Wii fans say that it is unique and innovative. When, really, many people were experimenting and building these types of controllers long ago... Just not with the commercial success seen by the Wii...

Everyone knows motion games have been around for a while...I remember playing a few handheld fishing games with little LCD screens that had motion control in it...

It's just that the Wii is the first mainstream home console that allows any game on its system to use the motion control...not like Play or whatever it's called on the PS2, where you have to buy separate controllers for each game...
