Forums - Gaming Discussion - Xbox 360 game lineup for 2009, it seems beyond impressive

That is quite the exaggeration.  The PS3 lineup isn't really any better than the 360's at all.  And considering that the 360's lineup is larger and more diverse, I'd say it is better in my opinion.

I will only buy 2 games on PS3 this year (Killzone2 and Uncharted 2), but on the 360 I'll likely by 8-10 games just like last year because more of the games appeal to my tastes and the multi-plats like Call of Duty series always play better on Xbox Live (from personal experience and from all of my friends unbiased opinions as well).

Now, please don't come to the "Xbox 360 game lineup for 2009" thread to show off your PS3 fanboy-ness.

LOL! most of those "pc only" games are pants...

And you thought that "list" would show us what we are missing out on, seriously lol.

I have an idea, why don't you make a list of exclusive X360 RPGs/open world games and say what games you think are good from both our lists just so I can laugh at you.

I have an even better idea.  Why don't you leave this thread entirely if your only purpose is to try and show us that a PC would be better for us.  Personally, I just built a PC for about $700 that can play any PC game maxed out, and so I have a PS3, PC, and 360, and I can guarantee that a 360 will be much better for the money and less hassle when it comes to patches, compatibilties, etc.

The only people that care about the games being PC/360 exclusive instead of JUST 360 exclusive are PS3 fanboys trying to justify their higher cost of entry by saying that we should pay more and get a PC, thus making their PS3 look cheap in comparison.

Seriously, I am getting tired of PS3 fanboys coming in and derailing these threads and trying to say their line-up is better.  Please, if you are this uncomfortable with your console's position you should start playing it more and stop caring that it is getting beat in sales/software.

to all ppl saying "I can just play most of them on PC"

I say: Can you play the 360 or PC version on your PS3? No????? Then that means the 360 library > PS3s 09.

 I am going to have to disagree.

^I believe that is called gamer's choice when people say they would rather play it on their pc. I enjoy doing it for the mods and sometimes better graphics an effects.

But it only applies to the small few that have both a PS3 AND a gaming PC capable of todays standards, so while you will disagree because you have both, others that only have a PS3 can not argue that.

I personally only buy PC games if they are PC exclusive.  If they are PC/360 then I grab the 360 version for achievements, more of my friends to play with, and 100% assured that it will work, where as on PC I have to worry about compatibilties, patches, etc.

My most looked forward to Xbox 360 game of the year wasn't even on the list. Why no Puzzle Quest?

I do not see how PS3 lineup would be more impressive for me, when it has only one RPG, and FF13vs that will 99% come in 2010, when 360 gets a real avalance of the best 2009 titles for my tastes, huge 50-100 hours games and RPGs with vast open worlds like in Alan Wake, KUF2, Divinity 2, Risen, Venetica, Mass Effect 2, Fallout 3 expansions, Two Wolrds Temptation, Precursors, Black Legion etc

Plus gets my most wanted JRPG after FF13, SO4, and of course FF13 too, and every single other WPRG like Witcher, Dragon Age, Gothic 4 etc etc

So, can someone on the PS3 camp please explain how one game i really want on PS3 (Demon Soul) can possibly be better for me than the 19 games on 360 (Alan Wake, KUF2, Divinity 2, Risen, Dungeon Hero, Venetica, Mass Effect 2, Fallout 3 expansions, Two Worlds Temptation, Precursors, Black Legion, Final Fantasy 13, Star Ocean 4, Witcher, Dragon Age, Gothic 4, Overlord 2, Majesty 2, Magna Carta 2)

As for that PC exclusive RPG list, Diablo 3 is something i want, everything else are last gen games or MMOs, they may be good for certain gamers, maybe for me too, but i do not need to upgrade my PC for them at all, i would like to see some in game pics of them too first

exactly its gamers choice.......

@windbane

You have forgotten one critical difference between the 360 and the PS3. That being that the 360 does not have mandatory installs. So your not forced to install large masses of data to your hard drive in order to play a game. So with the 360 its much easier to make due with a smaller drive.

@topic

Other posters have highlighted two things. The first is GT5, and God of War 3 are probably not likely to make it this year in all regions. The second is Microsoft is tight lipped. We know of half a dozen games coming down the pipe this year that have not been named. In fact each of Microsoft's key developers is delivering this year.
