LFG: Twenty Five Most Anticipated Games of 2009

For those that don't know, that is my site.  We get a modest 200 to 250 hits a day and at one time it was close to about 500 a day.  But yea this article was written by me, and not representative of the entire staff just in case anyone is wonder.  Just a collection of what I think is the 25 most anticipated games that are SUPPOSED to release this year.  The descriptions are there just building on the hype so don't get in with it to me on those haha. 

Hope yall like the list, and I know PC gamers will like it haha.

And my methods for deciding was solely based on whether the internet was hyping it up like a shitload now. I took into fact what franchise it was, then internet hype, and a few other things to get that list. If it had nothing to do with internet hype, then obviously there would be a strong biased towards certain platforms.

It's a very good and balanced list.

(I suppose Bioshock 2 ain't there because it's uncertain to come in 2009?)

Zucas, now if you made the list longer on what spots would Mafia II, Empire: Total War and Dragon Age end up rufly?

Mafia II would probably be in the top 30 but the rest would probably only make the top 50 if I had to guess.  I would have to have all the collection.  What I actually did was look at all the release lists for all platforms and then wrote them down.  Then I started sizing down til I got to 25.  So I'd have to back and look what else was there but yea I know Mafia II would be high.

But yes its very balanced because every platform is going to have at least one game that has a high anticipation which is why everyone has at least one title in the top 10.  And yea for indefinites it was hard to decide so I would just have to go with ones that at least have it tenatively.  Actually had to take out Diablo 3 because of something like that.

Fire Emblem but no Bioshock or COD5 or modern warefare 2 or whatever they call it? No Street Fighter 4? What sites do you get your hype from. (And I'm assuming that the numbers don't indicated the amount of hype.)

OT: I gotta say I was surprised that many of the games that I thought would have been on the Top 10 did not get there, but I guess that means that credit should go to you for being as unbiased as possible when doing this. At least you got the number one choice right

Bioshock I can't definitely confirm for 2009 right now.  The others at least have it tenatively.  Modern Warfare 2 just didn't make it for me.  Might be something personal or just wanting to include a lot of the mainstream games out.  Same reason why GH and Rock Band aren't in there. 

Street Fighter IV is there btw. Hype is based on a lot of things and some of it does include sales potential.

Yes my site and not much of a bragger so don't really talk about it every second.  But I will start linking some of the features like this over.  Would be nice if a few of them got news stories here so they could get digged.

And yea it was hard for me to make the list because I got 25 games that really all could make a top 10.  And when ya start barreling down ya have to start saying alright 15 games can't be top 10 games so start spreading out.  But I went through 4 #1s until I was satisfied.  I just couldn't not give Starcraft II a #1 spot after it was all said and done.  Of course it was either going to be #2 or #1 when I finished it.

quite good list, it's balanced. Pretty much spot on, ha.

in my rage over no COD5, I must've missed SF4. :PI still consider COD4 the best FPS ever made.
