yeah they will suck. resident evil movies are the only decent video game movies i can think of

And that's because they have very little to do with the game plots... video game plot =/= movie plot. Still, a movie set in the Gears world would be cool, just hopefully they do it right.

And for clarification for everyone on this thread. He is not comparing quality of the LOTR movies. He is comparing tone and content most likely. He is saying it would be three movies with epic scope and huge battle sequences.
