Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Seraphic has officially "Jumped in" ! (Epicness)

I'm sure many of the questions have been answered, but I'd highly recommend getting your own set of rechargeable AA batteries. I have some Duracell ones and their charger will give four batteries juice in 15 minutes. This way, you wont have to spend money on an official (overpriced) Microsoft pack.

The initial cost of the batteries and charger might be a little expensive, but then you'll have batteries for controllers, remote controls, digital cameras, ect for as long as the batteries last and you'll only have to pick up new batteries when the old ones can't hold a charge anymore.

1) How do i know if i have Jasper?

2) No my PC is a Weak home based 2002 model. :( thats why i choose consoles to game on lulz PC's are ridicules to give them decent specs.

3) Cant use E-bay, dont an account and dont wanna pay for one. (i hear on Ebay you gotta pay for an account lulz wtf rip-offs).

Thanks for the info dude. :D

1) That should be pretty easy to find out. Just tell me how your interface looks like.

1st pic: http://www.themarriedgamers.net/wp/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/nxe1.jpg

Jasper with internal memory and pre installed NXE.

2nd pic: http://www.gameinformer.com/NR/rdonlyres/3947423B-4EED-444B-AAA3-C6F297970330/8089/XboxLive.jpg

Probably a Falcon with the old dashboard.

2) Great so I could recommend you more 360 games, but you still haven't told me what your other favourite genres beside JRPGs are :(

I can only guess. Shooters ? WRPGs as well ?

3) You only need to pay when you create your own online shop on ebay

1) Damn it looks like the 2nd one, am i screwed allready? lol. its the "Blades" style.

2) Yeah, WRPGs, FPS, PUZZLES *Im loving the Arcade Puzzle game that came with the 360 real fun*, Racers, Action, Platformers, ActionJRPG's, SJRPG's, Etc...

3) Ahh, i see, so if i want to "BUY" something i dont need to freak out for an account correct? and is paypal safe? >_>

You are not "screwed" but it sounds like you have a falcon instead of a Jasper.  Don't worry though because contrary to popular belief they are actually pretty rugged and seldom fail.   You can get online and do an update to the new experience but a hard drive will make things much easier.   And I think you can get a small memory pack free from M$,  not sure though.

Paypal is very secure you just need to be vigilant when purchasing things.  There are lots of untrustworthy businesses out there.

Falcon eh? Mm.....well better then the originals i guess.

For example though... if it does go all "RROD" on me and i send it to MS for repairs...will they send me a Jasper model instead?

Also will they replace any games that May get damaged in the process?

And solid, i'll keep that paypal thing in mind.

Edit: Btw what is the Default warranty? i hear its 3 years no matter what model is this true or false?

They may send you a Jasper if your Falcon RRoDed. But Falcons rarely RRoD, so there aren't a lot of reports about what happens when they get repaired.

Why would any games get damaged in the process? I've never heard of any games get damaged when a console RRoDs.

The default warranty is 1 year for all parts + 3 years if it RRoD's. And it does not matter if it's an Arcade, Pro or Elite.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Well believe it buddy, SO4 forced me un to a 360. and im happy with it. :)

and @Mrstickball,  K sounds all good but what happens if my 360 goes RROD after the year? will they charge me? and if so how much?

And when you say "Falcons Rarely RROD" is there any proof? i know for a facts its LOADS better then the originals, but dont know how much better exactly. did some reading on the specs.

Btw i have my 360 in a place were it breathes on ALL sides if it helps any.

And about the game getting ruined thing, i heared the earlier models made a circle dent in the discs. :/

BTW The 360 is bad about tearing up games if your console shakes at all when the console is playing a game, and the DVD discs are easier to scratch then the PS3 blu-ray discs so you gotta be careful with your disc care on 360, just a heads up.
