A "AAA title" has nothing to do with reviews. It has nothing to do with how other people view them. It is simply a game from a known system-selling franchise that is expected to continue the series' good sales.

Super Mario Galaxy is a AAA title.
Grand Theft Auto 4 is a AAA title.
Halo 3 is a AAA title.

No matter WHAT reviews say about them.

It should also be noted that Play Magazine has overwhelming 3 out of every 4 games when compared to the average. Well ok, not 3 out of every 4. 76.2% Which is actually a little more.

That said. Play is usually only over 5.8% so you can probably saftley slot Heavenly sword in the 9-9.5 range after adjusting for the overbump Play Magazine gives... well 3/4ths of all Sony games.

There review that was most off for the PS3 by the way.

"Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom." Which they gave an 8.5. It's average. a 6. So "worst case" scenario they'd you'd think HS would be a 7.5

I've never even heard of the game... though it apparently has a picture of a girl on a sword on the cover. Maybe like that one commercial the Play Magazine reviewer has a fetish for "Chicks with swords."

Shouldn't we just wait for unbiased review sites to come and gives us unbiased reviews for games like this and metroid prime 3? IGN should give us a clear picture of the games.

Someone brought up Play Magazine giving the game a 10 as a comfirmation of this game.  So, it kinda is.  Plus atleast Play magazine is a magazine who's reviews are online and in a database so one can comb through its stats to see if they overrate or underrate games on average and what types of games they overrate and underrate.

You've already discredited this mag in Lair preview thread so why bother once again? No1 expect you to agree with this score. I've posted this info because this review confirms one obvious thing - This game is great. Everyone who played the demo already knows it but reviews will make it official.

It puts the Play review context.  I'm a big context guy and with reviews context is almost everything.  It doesn't discredit the magazine.  Just puts in context the fact that it's probably a little higher then it should be.

Like I said.  If it stays true to average and it wasn't one of there largely overrated games it's going to be a 9 to 9.5 game.  Even if they somehow had made a catastophic mistake(highly unlikely) it'd be an average game.

I was actually supporting your point that while Play Magazine usually overrates games it's not likely this one is that much overrated.  So it's more likely a 9.0-9.5 range unless it's a big outlier.

I trust Play Magazine more then the Polish PSE because i have a statistical breakdown of Play Magazines tendencies and i know how to adjust their score more.

Fair enough but outstanding game doesn't need to be adjusted. It will get high scores everywhere with really narrow bracket.
