Planning to buy a new PC with all thoses cool games in 2009 ?
might need to upgrade my processor to the Athlon X2 7750.. thats about it.
But I might just build a Core i7 desktop and give my current one to my sister.
I have been planning to build a new one for a while now. The last time I did was before Doom 3 came out and I've only done one video card and one RAM upgrade since. So hopefully I'll be building a new one finally sometime soon.
Prolly when a new wave of GPUs are released. Then again, I'm pretty happy right now with what I got.

I've just recently upgraded my entire pc for all the new games and some 2008 ones too.
Since putting my new computer together I have purchased Call of Duty: World at War and Dead Space. I'll be getting Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead and Crysis next.
My new pc:
__________
Antec 1200 case
Asus Maximus II MoBo
Intel E8600 CPU @4.0GHZ
Asus GTX295 GPU @ 700/1500/1300
2x4GB OCZ Reaper DDR2
2x300GB Western Digital Velociraptor
HT Omega Claro+ Sound Card
__________
I'm really happy with what I got. A friend helped me decide on what to get and it saved me a good chunk of money. If i need to I can upgrade my cpu to a quad core and not have to worry about getting a new mobo. Eventually I may convert to the i7 cpu's but not until the price drops on them, the mobo's for it and the ddr3 memory.
I just ordered my new rig.
i7 940
6GB DDR3
GTX285
Rampage 2 Mobo
1000W PS
+ other goodies.
I was going to go Tri-SLI, but I'll wait until the GTX prices come down first and there is a decent liquid cooling solution for i7 machines.
At any rate, I've been out of PC gaming since Half Life 2, so I have a lot of catching up to do.

I haven't updated my PC since 2006 and I still can play new games with ease. When I can't, its time for upgrade. No sooner, no later. :)
