That Guy said:
its sort of a catch 22 now.

If I were kept in a hell hole for 4 years without any legal way of defending myself, I'd be pretty pissed, even if i wasn't a terrorist.

This is what conservatives are in denial about. Clearly killing middle eastern families is going to incite more Western hatred. Clearly locking people up without charge or legal evidence is unfair and its going to incite Western hatred.

There is no catch 22, i think there needs to be MORE EVIDENCE. Simple as that, if there isn't then they are not guilty.

You can't apply two different laws

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Give me liberty or give me death. I'm sorry, but suspending the writ of habeas corpus, torture, etc. should not be tolerated, no matter the case. I want freedom for myself and all others, and I'll gladly take the risks that come with it. While I dislike Obama in many ways, I agree with his actions here.

Halo, as a proclaimed conservative, you should recognize these ideals. Instead, you're following the neocon party line.

@vagabond and halo: C'mon, both you guys are above this insane bickering. Anywho, I'm locking this mess of a thread.

Oh, and suspending the writ of habeas corpus is the same BS Lincoln pulled during the Civil War, but that's another issue for another day.
