Honestly, compare Prime 1 and Prime 3 art. Prime 3 has better art of Samus, it has dark Samus there too and the background is so much better. The only detestable thing would be the dark Samus in the corner. I don't know how this could be on a list of bad covers. The other primes look worse, and the reason why Echoes could be considered good is because it was all shiny and stuff. meh, 1up...

I don't understand why anyone would think that this is a bad boxart... I looked at the 1up website and its crazy that it is included with some of those others.

Can we really trust 1up on anything Nintendo related? I thing the Boxart is just fine. The only problem is it's a bit static.

Comparing it to Metroid Prime, it looks like a huge evolution. How boring was the box art for Metroid Prime? Extremely. The point is, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I like the box art and that is all that matters to me.

I used to think it was ugly...now after comparing it to the other Primes...I realize it's fine. I think there could have been better pictures...but it's not bad.

I really want to see what 1up is going to say about this game. Attacking on the Cover is not a good sign. (For 1up).

The reason those lists exist is to stir up controversy. Don't feed into it. It's like when Cameron Diaz (or some other hot chick) made the list for worst saggy breasts. Of course this cover doesn't belong. If it did, we wouldn't be discussing it would we?

1up is is full of themselves.

This is the best boxart of all the Prime games. it tells so much without overwhelming you. Samus back-to-back with Corrupted Samus and Dark Samus looming in the background. Too much Samus? Possibly, but what Metroid doesn't have Samus on the box cover?

If they wanted a box to bitch about they should have went after Fusion. Seriously, the NA box art is just Samus crouching in front of a bland background with enemy art pasted behind her and shadowed. The JP box was so much better.

Back on the topic, the cover is fine. It's not great, not bad, but it gets the job done.
