I heard about through a gaming forum. I signed up because I wanted to view more than 1 page of data.

I found an information about psp million sellers on www.pspfanboy.com and this site was a source. I signed up after restrictions blew in.

Since I'm oldschool and all, and the #1 poster by double the posts of anyone else... :P I saw the tags in some threads over at the official sony threads, and at first I used the... *wink* competition. I looked at their numbers and said, NO WAY are those accurate. Saw a link to here in their forums. And now I use their site as laughing material. I showed up around the same time monty was plaguing the forums on how the 360 was god and the 360 sales on this site were off. I signed up towards the end of monty, because I was bored. yup. Sounds about right. EDIT

Wii_gamer said: Self explanatory thread really - how did you hear about vgcharts? And what made you sign up?
What made you create this site, and put so much effort into it?

On GAF on a specific thread (I think at the moment where the site was created). Signed in cause I loved the idea of having a gaming sales dedicated web site so I wanted to participate on the passionate sales debates

I found it through google, looking for sales numbers. Basically, anything to explain why I couldn't find a Wii in a retail store. I signed up for what appeared headed towards a technical discussion, although it didn't quite work out that way.

I got mugged in a dark alley. As the guy was fleeing, he shouted out "Don't forget to go to www.vgcharts.org for all your console sale needs!" Seriously!!!!

What's vgcharts?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I found this site through posts on www.thesimexchange.com. It's a predictive market site used to try and predict the lifetime sales of videogames and consoles, something that I bet a lot of people on these forums would be interested in. Myself and a lot of the other traders over there use VGcharts as a reliable source of reference. Not to be a shill for another site but newcomers are always welcome to play. And like many others I registered on this site to see a more complete view of information. Congrats on the sucess of VGcharts, I have seen steady improvements since I've been here. Keep up the good work.
