Ah, good old sarcasm. At least, I hope it's sarcasm. Was the comment worth making a new account?

Good news Everyone!

Sony's statement is right, in both respects. No other system can have this because it is MADE by Sony. Yet no other console can handle it because of the systems raw power, unique tilt controls, and bluray functionality . So no, 360 and Wii could never have anything like this.

Allow me to refer you to my post aimed at saxophonehero.

Raw power - Nay, difference is tiny.

Tilt controls - Doesn't effect the game much, can easily be mapped to an analog stick

Blu-ray - Would just make the game 1 disc VS 2. Actual game wouldn't be affected.

130 employees working on a game for 5+ years with a budget of 30-60 million dollars will get you a game unlike any other.

i didn't know winter 2006 till now was 5+ years.

3 years.. sure.. but 5 ? no no no

Winter 2006?  They showed a video at E3 2005.  The game has obviosly been worked on since before E3 2005.  Design discussions, architectural discussions, art discussions...video of representative gameplay doesn't just magically appear.

No. Sony showed a animation created by some irish company in 2005. Gurilla was working on Killzone Liberation until october 2006 whereafter they switched over and started working on killzone 2.

Remember the framework was already layed out by the end of killzone 1.

"Killzone 2 development time: "In August of 2004 this editor visited the offices of Guerilla in Amsterdam. There, team members admitted that Killzone 2 development was well underway." (Source) Killzone 2 began without a platform. If Sony hadn't gone to them, it could have been for the PC or another platform. There is an interview in which GG admits to working on Killzone 2 well before Killzone 1 was finished. Sadly, I was not able to find that interview. The E3 trailer was composed of art Guerilla already had made. Most games don't have art of that level until it's been in development for a while." - http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=57470&page=2

Hmm.  And you don't honestly think big developers work solely on one project at a time do you?

this is complete bs, the ps3 is a very powerful system. but the 360 can do anything graphically the ps3 can if the right dev does the game. also crysis, can be done on console's if the dev's actually took the time to optimized it for the systems. it could look close to the pc version.

Guerilla Games worked exclusively on Killzone 2 with the exception of the PSP game, and a lot of parts of that game were outsourced to other Sony studios since GG didn't have too much experience with the PSP at the time. The team working on the PSP game was much smaller than the team focused on Killzone 2. If I find the interview in which they explain how they split the team, I will post it here.

Also, like many game developers, Guerilla Games brought in other developers to help them improve their engine. I recall reading that they brought in Naughty Dog (one of my favorite devs) to help optimize the Killzone 2 engine.

When I see a PS360 game where you can get close to walls and not see a blurry mess of a texture, I will believe Crysis can be done on those consoles without being severely downgraded. Of course that might be quite hard with the low amount of graphical memory the consoles have.

what i just described is a downsized port, one that could never do what the PS3 does for this game. Proof that PS3 is more then a little more powerful? just look to the developers. many 360 game developers say they r running out of breathing room. RAGE, downsized due to 360 limitations, Mass Effect, chugs like nobodies business because 360 can barely handle all the calculations,Red alert, had to leave out physics, the CELL, currently used in the worls most powerful super computer. Pretty much it comes down too PS3 developers do not complain about hinderance of hardware, rather the difficulty of it. 360 devs DO all the time. And the dual disc clause is null and void against anything other then RPGs. Do u really wanna play a 10 to 13 hr shooter on 2 discs? i think not...

Rage was downsized due to the DVD space on the Xbox 360. ID didn't want to pay for multiple DVDs and they didn't want to spend the time to use advanced procedural synthesis techniques due to development costs. This has nothing to do with the processing power of the Xbox 360.

Mass Effect was Bioware's first attempt at the Unreal Engine. Compared to other Unreal 3 engine releases, especially those on the PS3, it is very advanced.

The Cell processor is very powerful, however, games don't lend themselves to the type of processing requires by games. Games require a lot of general purpose operations, something which the cell processor lacks in. It makes perfect sense for super computers, not so much for games. However, despite being inefficient at games, you are correct that its sheer power is enough to make it a viable processor for games. However, if you compare both the Xbox 360 and PS3 as machines meant to play games, they are very close, with the PS3 having a slight edge. If you don't believe me, go ask the chief architect of the Cell processor. He has already said they are essentially equal at games.

If Xbox 360 developers spent as much time, effort, and money as game developers do on the PS3, the 360 games would greatly benefit from it. However, that is the beauty of the Xbox 360. Little effort, good games. Why put a lot of effort for a slightly better game? Simply not worth it financially.

And yes, I wouldn't mind spending a few seconds switching DVDs. I know Killzone 2 doesn't have an install, but I would rather switch discs than wait for an annoying install. Or you can simply install the game onto the Xbox 360 Hard Drive and never switch dics.

Also, development difficulties is a hindrance of hardware. They just can't get the hardware to do what they want so they have to work around it. People that complain about the Xbox 360 also complain that the Xbox 360 hardware can't do what they want so they have to work around it. Both systems have their strengths and their weaknesses.
