Personally I think prince of persia and valkyria chronicles are among the most beautiful games of this generation but neither are impressive from a technical standpoint - certainly not in the same way as killzone 2 or metal gear solid 4 are.

Though, you really don't need to be a graphical powerhouse to be considered good looking do you.

It is going to be very hard to reach Killzone 2's technical graphical level on the Xbox 360. PS3 has a much more theoretical Proccessing power than the 360, nut it is extreamly hard to tap, and will take years of learning and developing to reach most of its potential. On the other hand the 360 is a very powerful system that has a very easy to tap architecture. Just as with the PS3 developers will always learn to get more out of 360, but the diminishing returns will show up much faster.

Now I am no programmer, and I have never even been in the same room as a PS3 or 360 dev kit, but just by using my brain and looking at the games over the last 3 years, I believe the 360 is very close to its point of diminishing returns. The PS3 however has shown to us for at least this year it has grown a lot. Now the big question is will we see a Gears 1 to Gears 2 improvment for the Killzone games, or does PS3 have even more left. Guess we wil have to wait tell late 2011 or early 2012 to see what happens.

Clear awnser, if 360 matches Killzone 2 it will be a few years down the road, but chances are it won't.

Gears 1 -> You can render two crosshairs on the screen.

Halo 3 -> You can render four!!! crosshairs on the screen.

Dude, Killzone 2 can only do single player offline, it cannot match the epic beauty of 4 crosshairs on the screen at the same time!

Therefore Halo 3 is 4* as hot as Killzone 2.

I dont see the point of this thread, the graphics in killzone 2 wont matter if the game gets low review scores like a 7.5 or 7.9

graphics is only part of what makes a game good, thats what I have been trying to say this whole time.

And if someone wants to play something like Killzone 2 on 360, call of duty 6 is just around the corner, and we know how good call of duty 4 PLAYS.

Killzone 2 wont get low review scores, where have you been hiding the past few days. Killzone 2 has already got a few reviews, most giving it 100%. Go check out the Official Killzone 2 thread, it is said to make Gears 2 look like a high school effort at making a game, and we all know how good Gears is.

And if someone wants to play KZ2 on 360.......they cant. KZ2 is quite different from COD, and in many many ways is far better. Obviously Modern Warfare 2 is gona be fantastic, but im sure it wont even be as good as KZ2.

It actually really saddens me what so many gamers see as great graphics. And it's not just the Sony-MS pissing contest either. A lot of Nintendo fanboys were pretty angry about WindWaker, while I still absolutely love that game for its artstyle.

And cura: Indeed Prince of Persia and Valkyria are definitely gorgeous games.
