why are you interested in games only coming out in 2009?
I'm sorry, but that's bullshit. If you want a console for it's exclusives (as you will probably still be buying 3rd party games on your ps3) then it shouldn't matter what year it has come from. No. I think this thread is just your biting at the fact that the xbox lineup has not been actually announced yet. You know? Well, that's how it sounds anyway.

The back catalog is great, and most can be bought for around 20$ or less, if they're old enough.
But here is the assumed line-up, since old games are crappy, by your standards:

Halo Wars
Halo ODST
Alan Wake
Ninja Blade
Ninety-Nine Nights II (I have never been a fan of the series, but the vids of this... look... too good to pass up.)
Rare project (maybe 2 of them, like all these previous years)
Race pro or whatever from simbin



So, there you go, the current line-up sucks. Actually, it looks like the psp's first party line up right now. But, keep in mind, there will be more games. For some reason, microsoft likes to deprive their fanboys of 'future ammo'. Unlike some other type of fanboys..

PS3 has a better future line up currently, that's for sure.

- outselling ps3 in Consoles sales and game sales, and getting exclusive content, GTA 4 episodes, Fallout 3 content, etc, now has devil may cry 4, final fantasy 13, tekken 6 and possibly metal gear solid 4 this year if not then definelty the next major metal gear game according to konami, finding the link won't matter sonyboys will just say they didnt say that, but konami already said the metal gear franchise is going multiplat, but metal gear solid 4 going to 360 is undecided.

I wish MS would just announce all their big hits right now XD

Star Ocean 4

Those are the main ones off the top of my head that will all be day-1 purchases.

There are plenty of exclusives, but it's hard to recommend a specific one. Some games, we do not have confirmed release dates on, which is a similar situation for many games...We can only speculate.

 Ok, the PS3 is getting outsold by a console half the price of it in a recession........its expected.

And I no this is a lame fact, but Sony as a commpany sell alot more hardware than MS, simply as they have 3 consoles out selling.

And I thing that GTA4 DLC is a very bad thing. MS spent a big sum of Cash on that DLC, Sony spent a big sum of Cash on KZ2, and ofcourse you'd rather have KZ2.

And yes, E3 we willl know everything

SMcc - Actually, MS didn't 'spend' a dime on the exclusive content.

It was a $50m short-term loan. When the content launches, MS makes back 100% of the money up to the $50m. Anything after that it's a typical 70/30 split.

The advantage MS has with that setup (versus Sony paying a similar amount of cash for KZ2) is the fact the GTAIV content was made in 9-10 months, whereas KZ2 has taken 3-4 years.

And like you said, we semi-unfortunately have to wait for E3. The good thing with that is that we'll have a solid list of what's coming, whereas Sony typically over-hypes what's coming, then delays multiple titles that are assumed to be in a specific period of time. Choose which you like more, but 360 gamers still get a ton of great exclusives, and content.

I am sure they will. Although MS releases a decent bit of 'new' info at E3 (and most likely solid release dates for major IPs), lots of info gets leaked and revealed before E3. Last year, we had no idea that Star Ocean 4 was coming to any system, much less the 360 until June. Tales of Vesperia was announced for the 360 in April, so there's a great precedent of exclusives, and dates before E3 - it's just the peak of what you'll learn.

I'd look for solid new announcements of new, exclusive IPs after March when the big games have released, and we begin to get a lull.
