Oh yeah the Blue-ray deal is a good deal if you care about that sort of thing. I forget about that deal because I'm the kind of person that very rarely watches a movie more then once. When i do watch movies more then once it's never because i watch my DVDs it's because it's on HBO or whatever.

The only reveiws worth mentioning from Play Magazine are bad reviews. Statistics wise they tend to rate the average PS3 and 360 game a full point higher then EGM and rank games well above the average.

Its still a good review.

So EGM is harsh with their reviews and Play are kind with their reveiws lets just wait for IGN.

It's a good deal, but considering there are no PS3 games at the moment you like, Blu-Ray movies aren't yet of interest to you and you already own a PS2 (so backwards compatibility is worth less to you than me), I think you'll better wait. At some point there's going to be an even better deal.

I think you can get free shipping from Sony Style if you buy it on the right day of the week according to the slickdeals.net thread about it. They said Tues. and Thurs. are the days they offer it.

IGN would be a good one. They hit almost exactly on the average statistically. To me magazines that underrank are more credible then those that overrank.

The average EGM review is around a 70.

The average Play ranking for s PS3 game is around 80.

7 sounds fine for an average game (I'd perfer a 6 but whatever.)

an 8 is just silly stupid... that's like old school Nintendo Power level.

If you can get it now for the same price in March, why would you wait?  They might not drop it to $400 by then, although I wouldnt be suprised.  But what are you going to gain in the bank in interest?  Are you investing in stock?  There is no reason to hold off if you know that you'll just be waiting to get the same deal later.  That doesn't make sense.

Not to mention the 5 free blu-ray movies.  

The PSN games alone are worth $400, especially Super Stardust HD.

I would do it for the 5 free Blu-Rays. That deal will be gone if you don't buy before Sept. 7th. You save $150 or so from the credit card, you can get free shipping if you order on the right day, and the movies are easily worth $15 a pop closer to $20 (which can be sold again for a good price, especially if you don't open them. You can take them to Wal-mart or any big retail chain and get cash or at worst store credit if the seal is still untouched). I have done this myself, so I know it works.

You can always play the downloadable games if there is nothing out that interests you at the moment as well, one of my favorite things about this generation.

Why should he buy it now if he has nothing he wants to play on it yet? It doesn't make any sense, windbane. I'm not saying "NEVER buy it, MUA HA HA", just "Wait until a game that interests you gets released."

If thers nothing he wants on it why even ask, it nothing more then a thread for fanboys to whine and bitch. Its easy wii owners wlil tell you to wait, PS3 owners will tell you to buy. Stop asking people on forums for approval, they arent you they dont know what you really want.

I played my PS3 games on a sdtv it was fine then i got a hdtv and sound system it was better.

They said motion control was cool.
The ground combat was well done.
No mention of frame rate indicating it was stable.

Heavenly Sword has had a 10/10 from Play magazine and 9/10 from a Polish gaming magazine and LAIR got a 9/10 from Play magazine and 3.8/5 from gamepro.
