All my hype towards what I have hoped would be a good game has now disappeared with the appearance of a second, and near identical trailer to the one found in this post here.

This 1st trailer gave me some hope towards this game, after the three most recent sonic releases. Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). Hope towards the latest sonic series has been at a all time low. But they don't seem to be doing anything to help their situation!

Why do I say this? Because of the 2nd trailer I mentioned earlier, again near identical to the one discussed earlier. But the ending has been changed to feature THIS.

Wait, I'm sorry. My eye's were filled with crazy. Is that a blue hedgehog. In what appears to be a encumbersome golden suit of armor? If the sword wasn't bad enough, now sonic has a giant suit of armor. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of sonic the hedgehog?

Next we'll see slow moving hack'n'slash levels involving a werehog golden-armored sonic.

Um, from the trailers, it seems pretty clear to me that the sword/armor is incorporated into the speedy gameplay, not separated from it. I mean, he's flipping around like he's Yoda

I'm sorry, but you were silly to ever expect the new sonic game to be anything other than mediocre. I used to look forward to Sonic games, but there just isn't a point anymore.

Sigh, Sonic these days are starting to get more faceplams from me.

I can't believe Wii owners are hyping another Sonic game. When will people learn?

With a few tweaks a sequel to Sonic and the Secret Rings could be great.

Speaking as a Wii (and PS3 and 360 and...so on) owner that enjoyed Sonic and the Secret Rings more than any Sonic title since Sonic Advance 2, I guess I can safely say that I learned to at least appreciate titles from this team.
