Forums - Sales Discussion - Are you a fanboy?

No. I love Nintendo, and I think the 360 has some very cool stuff, and I hate SONY and their arrogant way of doing business.

Sony is the best because of its variety of games. They already have tons of sweet games out this year or atleast great games coming. Nintendo is ok I love there own first party games but the third party games suck Microsoft is the worst because all they do is focus on Shooters. I LOVE ACTION NOT JUST FRICKEN SHOOTING GAMES ASSES!!!! So im a Sony fanboy.

Nintendo and Sega were just as arrogant and treated their third parties like crap back in the day. Which is i guess another reason against the consortium deal. anyways, that's a different subject, different thread. I'm a Sega Fanboy at heart. I still play my dreamcast and I have like a dozen games for it. I'm also for Nintendo, since I guess I really miss the SNES/Genesis days.

And Nintendo focuses on kiddie games and party games...Which Is why I turned on them...I AM NOT 5 FRICKEN YEARS OLD ANYMORE NINTENDO! When was the last time they created a new thing and not ride mario and link's backs? I have grown tired of them. I like MS because they forced sony to make a stronger system and add a harddrive, don't care for firstparty games, but never did. Sony is good to, they expanded the market and finally got DVD playback in a system. I like - Sony, Microsoft I miss - Sega I hate - NINTENDO. (The wii was the final straw, they have sucked since N64. I miss the snes. last good N system)

I'll break up what I love in 3 groups: Fun : games where the gameplay is just fun, it could have bad graphics, no story and I won't care. This includes Wii Sports, SSX, 1080, Burnout(crash mode) Super Smash Bros, Power Stone, Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, Warioware, etc... Addictive : Titles that have strategy, leveling and stat upgrade type stuff, and some form of collecting concept(weapons, pokemon and such). They can also have okay graphics and okay story, but those three elements most be well balanced and extensive. This includes FF Tactics, Ogre Battle, Pokemon, Jewel Summoner, Sims, etc... Atmosphere: This sounds like a weird cateogory but in essence it's game we're I just enjoy being in that gaming world. This includes any 3d Zelda title, Shenmue, Outcast, Dreamfalls, Jade Empire, Hotel Dusk, and in the future will include Mass Effect, Alan Wake, Thesis, etc... I know these three groups kind of cross various genres and such but I think you get my drift here, 99% of the games I get appeal to me on one of these levels. I could say I'm a fanboy of [enter company here], but to be honest the bottom line is I go where these three kinds of games go. Also I'm a fanboy of cheat codes and saving anywhere. While that sounds silly I've literaly decided for or against purchasing based on those two issues.

I'm quite a Nintendo fanboy, just because of the great games that have come out on the various systems over the years. I do enjoy a lot of Xbox and PS games...but I've enjoyed enough Nintendo games to keep buying their systems. Microsoft is a bit too focused on PC-type games...which is what I have my PC for, although they're not too bad. Sony is just arrogant in my opinion. Phil Harrison constantly gives the public a bad representation of Sony, and overall the company just has a bad image to me. I might get a PS3 for its capabilities someday though, if I can afford it. And I know Nintendo and Sega were quite arrogant back in the day as well...but Nintendo has gotten a lot better...and they certainly seem the most consumer-friendly with the Wii. And for those who say it only has kiddie and party games, that's partly correct. There are plenty of "mature" games, but that doesn't really matter to me anyway. I really enjoy a lot of the party games...since that's what the Wii is for anyway. Maybe I just like the Wii because I always play it with my friends...I hardly ever play alone.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
