Yea, it depends on the circumstance though.

For example, it froze while disguising with the ISA assault rifle for me.

the only thing that bugs me is the fact you have to unlock everything instead of getting your base set of weapons and things to do and unlocking more.
The stages can be a bit too big even for 32 players, I was on one map looking around for a good minute and a half without seeing any enemies until I randomly was shot in the head by a guy that just came out of their side of the base so likely just lucky enough to spawn at that time.

I love that you have to unlock everything, and matchmaking insures that you aren't overpowered. The starting weapon is great, anyway.

As for the maps, some of them should be large. 32 people is way too much for at least half the maps. I love doing it, but it's pretty much chaos and feels like UT or Quake. It's the easiest to level with at least. For variety's sake, though, 1 map should always be large. Tacticians can make large maps a non-issue, too, as well as the Squad system.

I get destroyed by people with shotguns... andi t's going to take forever to level up, especially fighting people with better equipment.

I can't even remember the name of the map I just know it was mostly red and large and what made it impossible to find anyone was how many levels you could be fighting on. Also I never got the feeling of Quake, especially not Unreal, this game has a more CoD 1 & 2 feel with the leveling system of something like Halo.

Just search for servers using the "my rank only" option and your problem is solved.

You haven't seen what everyone using rockets feels like, I would assume, because on small maps it's pretty crazy.

Maybe you haven't played with Tacticians, either, because with the ridiculously bad invuneralability that they added to people that spawn you can basically set up a battle anywhere on the map with a tactician. I'm all for having a few seconds if you spawn in your base but having people invulnerable when spawning at a tactician's spawn point is just dumb. You are supposed to camp those because they are tactical maneuvers, and you can't camp them if they have a few seconds to kill you without being killed. That's ridiculous. You don't have to put them in smart places anymore.

Edit:  also, for anyone that doesn't know, when you throw a spawn grenade and someone spawns in it they will be facing the opposite direction that you threw it in.  That's to prevent people from looking at a wall when they spawn but people don't seem to take that into account when they use tacticians and you are always facing the wrong direction when you spawn in them.

Ugh, I think it should be possible for another tactician or something to be able to disable an enemy's spawn grenade. In Radec Academy, an ISA tactician threw a spawn grenade into the Helghast spawn and a few people (including an assault guy with a rocket launcher) kept camping in the room.

Holy SHIT, Radec is hard. How much health does he have?!

i remember having 300 rounds for the smg when the fight started.. and having to switch to assault rifle once i was out of ammo.. maybe it was just my aiming that was ass

could try the stun grenades when he tries to stab you

Try the shotgun, that's what I did. Then again, everything was easier since I couldn't get past the rocket launcher guys on veteran so I had to switch it to normal (trooper?) to finally beat the game.

I take that back. Radec was piss easy.

8 hours 27 minutes game completion on Trooper. The ending was a little abrupt... although if I were Rico, I would have done the same thing.

As for the multiplayer, from my hour or so with it:

GOOD:

Varied mission objectives
No lag to speak of
Still excellent graphics
Shooting works well

BAD:

No cover system. I knew it wouldn't be in there, I didn't know how much it would help.
Levelling takes FOREVER! And you have to finish a game to get that XP.
Starting rifle is underpowered. It takes half a clip to kill somebody.

Kantor, you don't have to finish a game , if you leave mid, it still records stats

I don't think leveling takes that long. Once you can start using other classes, it really takes off since certain class skills (like reviving people as a medic) gives you some extra points.

Also, the standard rifles aren't bad. I've had a lot of fun with the standard ISA rifle.

^These are just impressions based on what I've played of the online. They'll definitely change.

I read on this site that quitting a game early loses you the experience. Hmmm...

But I've played three matches and gotten some 7XP... I think...
