So i just read a thread that says that a USA release for FFXIII wont happen till 2010. That in itself is absolutely and seriously ridiculous that is more than a year away because they said after april. Why do they keep hyping up the game now, i am so sick of it. I love final fantasy and they said a release was good for 2009 and now? Another year. that has been happening for the past 2 years. It almost makes me not want to play it.

They cited the late release becuase of the port to the 360. I think that they give the PS3 a timed exclusive, i mean why not? They are going to make just as much money, if not more so. I dont think that i should have to wait for a game that is almost completed on the PS3 because they have to port it to the 360. Thoughts? Oh and if you are wondering, that pushes back the release for versus. And that set back will probably be enough for them to decide that that will go multiplat as well. Oh Square Enix how the mighty hath fallen, where is square soft when you need them?

trying to do too many things, so ill answer what i want.

first, the hype for ff13 started before ff12 was released. People have been looking for an ff on hd consoles for a long time, so not hyping ff is kinda like not expecting another round of consoles.

second, it really blows that we have to wait more than another freaking year for this game. sony really should go and buy timed exclusivity if only so i dont have to wait till 2010.

Guys... We all know there's going to be plenty of games to play this year anyways, again. It's better for our pockets that way! xD

i was really hoping for ff13 and versus to come out soon. i need great rpgs and all i have this year is WKC and who knows when could come out in america.

btw i agree with you, they should release the ps3 version when its done, thats as logical as you can get. but i think there is a third company behind this that wont let it happen. oh well.

i say f**k S-E first they betray sony, then they throw a chain of crappy RPGs and now they say that FF13 will be delayed another year because they need to develop the 360 version. Im a ff fan, but this is it, i no longer care, they can take their franchise an stick it up their noses. As i said now that "final fantasy will come to 360" thing looks so irrelevant

What for the western release date - if you seriously have been expecting the game to hit US an Europe in 2009 then that's your problem. the game's developers have never promised you anything like that.

And in case you havent noticed, Final Fantasy games always come out in the West 5-7 months after the japanese releases. So your "it's all because of 360 port!!!111" sounds like a fanboyism to me.

dude this game was advertised before the ps3 launched, it will be around 5+ years since they announce it, this is just  terrible, look at how much people have complained about home and killzone 2 and those took a lot less time.

squaresoft is in square enix. If your gonna blame IU and TLR, blame tri ace and the saga team(w/c was always w/ squaresoft FYI). If your gonna blame for the recent 360 exclusivities, blame wada and MS, not the whole SE or squaresoft or Enix.

I agree that this is getting pretty ridiculous now. We saw a trailer for this game at E3 2006 and the game pretty much looks the same as it did then. What have they been doing all this time? I would have rather not seen a a preview of the game until E3 2008, at least that way I wouldn't be looking at the same game screens for over 4 years. People seem to get annoyed when Nintendo doesn't show up with Kid Icarus or a new Zelda game at E3 but at least Nintendo is not showing us these games now and releasing them 2011.
