just keep your sig long enough and you'll get banned. It doesn't comply with sig length rules. Maybe you could even report yourself too

They have alt accounts,so I don't think it matters.

Why doesn't VGChartz ban the I.P. to prevent alt accounts?  I guess a die hard could just change their I.P. and get on alt account then..

Why should banned users be allowed access to any features of the site from which they are banned? Makes no sense. When I toss someone and shut them out of a nightclub for being assholes I don't let them in at all for a period, why should I? "I swear, I'm only gonna talk to the bartender and I won't drink!"

Banned is banned, if someone does something stupid they should be punished for it. I can't say I agree with all the bans in here (or the lack of them in some cases) but the rules on banned users are as they should be imo.

At least you could tell them they are banned.

And it doesn't block access to the site.  You can still read the forums, you just can't post.  So really, it's not any different.

Once upon a time this was possible. Through some backdoor or another banned users could keep posting though. I assume the current system is in place to prevent a similar situation.
