MP3 vs Bioshock: reviews

Forums - Gaming Discussion - MP3 vs Bioshock: reviews

hrmm. I think Bio probably has the advantage in score, but both are going to be great.

I think Bioshock will get higher reviews in relation to the other games this fall/winter than it should (despite its genuine awesomeness) because it was the first huge game of this period, so it got the chance to 'wow' us, where the others will be following in its wake.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia.  Thanks WordsofWisdom!

Gotta go with MP3, I'll always put my money on a classic franchise.

So far it seems like there's only one thing these two games have in common that act as a basis for comparison. Awesomeness. These will both be amazingly awesome games

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

GAF is exploding due to bioshock

Well, I havn't played either, but this is what i would expect from what I have read about both.

Graphics = Bio
User Interface = MP3
Total Gametime = MP3
Multiplayer = Bio
Sound = Bio
Overall Score = Bio (MP3 will get knocked down due to wii biased, though it will be one of Wii's highest, if not highest rated games thus far)

Bioshock doesn't have multiplayer. Anyways about the supposed Wii bias, could someone explain to me why Zelda: Twilight Princess got a higher average review score than any 360 or PS3 game to date (excluding Bioshock's current average)? Were the biased reviewers sick during the month Twilight Princess was being reviewed?

I was under the impression that ever 360 game had to utilize Xbox Live and multiplayer?

 Zelda:TP did get really good reviews. However, there are sites that consitently rate any Wii game lower than anyone else. There has already been one thread that proved this. That is what will happen here, some good sites like IGN will rate MP3 very high, and then the a few will put it low due to lack of online or some other bs. This is why I think it's overall score will definately be less than Bio's. Regardless if one is actually better than the other. As I have not played either one, I don't know which is better. I bet I would like MP3 better, but ???

Why is Gballzack unbanned?

IGN gave Bioshock a 9.7.

I'll put my money on Bioshock at this point, only Gamespot review remains out of the big ones...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Sites consistently rate Wii games lower because most aren't very good at this point. That's not a "bias", that is flat-out reality. TP was a wonderful game and Super Paper Mario was also great. Other than that, what "great" games has the Wii seen? Red Steel? Mario Party 8? Godfather? The list goes on...

I'm not bashing the Wii, I think it's a great system. But for the same reason that I walk away from my recent PS3 purchase with a "meh" feeling, it hasn't delivered great games. It doesn't mean that great games aren't coming and that ultimately the system won't be a jewel of gaming, it just means that right now, it hasn't really delivered on its promises. And frankly, I'm tired of hearing Nintendo fans defend this position. Those of us who bought an N64 felt this same thing for months after release. The same happened for the GC.

In short, the great games will come. Stop talking about how "your" system was shafted in the ratings or how you feel cheated because it doesn't get as much press love as it should. The press is generally unbiased and plays all games and if anything, the recent Wii success would give them better ratings, not worse. Blame the developers for putting out shit games, not the press.

Agreed. When Excite Truck is considered one of the best games on a console, you can infer some things about the rest of the selection...

I agree with what your saying about the wii rocketpig but in the N64's defence most of its top games came out within its first year on the market. I think the most disturbing thing about the wii is that we're almost a year in and all we have is one good game and one good port.
