Online PC gaming (other than mmorpgs) have been free as long as I can remember. If no console maker can make a decent, profitable, online model without subscription fees for online play, there's a problem.

 

 makes sense... but honestly i dont mind 50 a year it seems well worth it

lol @ xbla going free. How many subscribers are they at now, 12 million? I don't think XBLA will ever be free till it gets to the point no one pays anymore, a million maybe?

I probably most likely wont buy the next xbox since i didnt even have to buy the first one and the 360. Got them for free from microsoft so i cant really see myself buying one.

Nope, I bought a 360 and I don't like it, so no 720 for me, even if I'm pretty sure that MS will make it reliable.

I don't see the point in picking up a launch console.. few games.. highest price in its life.. and to top it off it pretty much guarantees that the console before it will have a butt load of games that you may of missed..

I refused to pay 600 for a console that had no games or 400 for one thatll break 2 days later when I was perfectly happy with my ps2 and gc.. im sure there will be more then a few games ill miss on the wii and ps3 that I can check out after the next box launches to hold me over for a year or two



Predictions.

1. Wii will never reach 50% market share.

2. Kz2 will sell 1.3 first week 3.5 LT.
Sales predictions for 09.

Consoles suck at launch. They always have no games. I'd wait at least a year.

Probably not. Depends on the games. I wouldn't buy any console at launch. I learned my lesson when early adopting the PS3.
