I think like Dallinor PS3 is on a roll in Japan with many good titles comming out in the next two months (Yakuza and Biohazard), so the upcomming anime paired with the budget title will definitely boost sales to a large extent.

You're right the game's unbalanced...when you're on your second run through. As for the rest of your comment you're entitled to your opinion.

But it's still just a SRPG. The biggest The Best boost we've seen so far is the one from Yakuza Kenzan!

Sakura Taisen was also "just a SRPG" when it came out, but became very popular with the release of the anime... do you see a pattern here ? :)

I'll officially be getting this game on the 24th this month. thats one sale! :P

But i gotta say its true, i cant find this game ANYWHERE!!! wtf!?

I think there might be not meritorical reasons to not do the port. IIRC there were some stories than VC was intended to be on X360 but M$ told no to Sega as they already had secured Operation Darkness (or whatever their nazis&werewolfs sRPG was called).

 

And also speaking about anime remember there's playstation the best edition of VC coming in Japan when it starts airing.

If by porting you mean rewritting whole engine from start , redisigning control scheme and doing all the textures again then yes it's possible :)

I got my copy from Wilkinsons of all places, last place it was in stock, for £15.

Looks like they are reading this since it's down to 27,97 now :)

I see. It's still full price everywhere in the USA. I haven't even seen a sale anywhere.

I'm up to chapter 8 right now on my first play through. It's so different than anything else I've ever played. And quite excellent. Probably my 2nd favorite PS3 game next to MGS4 (if it holds up the quality till the end).

I really hope they consider the sales good enough to make a sequel (assuming the storyline doesn't rule out the possibility, since I haven't finished it yet). Are they really below expectations?

We don't know SEGA's expectations, so we don't know if they are above/below them.

Personally, I think it sold very well in Japan, and very poorly in NA and Others. However, if it manages to hold onto selling 5-10k/week for quite some time, it will eventually pull decent numbers in NA.

As for sequals, I think there is a good chance for one especially if the DLC that is supposedly going to be released outside of Japan does well.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

sales are not that bad, but if you take into consideration how many people say it rules.... it sure deserves more!!

i've seen a lot of times in shops here, maybe i get it when it becomes slightly cheaper

*don't throw me tomatoes, but it think a reason it's not selling as it should are the anime-style graphics, people see games with almost-real graphics on Ps3 and buy those instead



don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^
