So wait, I can hop on my PC version and show these kids with PS3s what the difference is between a PC FPS gamer and a console FPS gamer? This will be especially fun knowing that 95% of PS3 gamers are not going to be using the keyboard. Oh the fun the fun! Seriously this is completely unfair. Even the PS3 gamers who do use keyboard and mouse are going to end up against tourney gamers like Bod who will mercilessly destroy them. There needs to be a way to separate play between those using a sixaxis and those using a keyboard and mouse.

didnt you mention that your pc cant handle bioshock?. how can you play UT3 then?.

anyway this should be fun.. as a big CS fan i wanna beat some
PC gamers and shove it in their faces bwahaha..
if they kill me ill be like " its cause im on a console"
if i kill them "hahaha loser!!!" j/k

anyway,if only the wii hardware was a bit better...
i would love to see a wiimote mouse FPS battle......

It was a joke, that's why I have the word "seriously" after it.  The only shooter I really play is Counter-Strike. However, I do know from experience that PC gamers tend to be about 10X the "hardcore" of console gamers, and you are going to see a lot of heads roll.  I'm sure a mouse would rape a Wiimote in shooter, just like it would dual analog.  If the Wii game used Lock-on free aiming (the system developed for Metroid Prime 3), then I could see an argument for the Wii owner putting up a fight, but I would still expect the mouse to win.

How do pc gamers have an advantage Id like to know that..

Besides being more serious you can lower the graphics and increase the resolution on a PC to get way better framerates then a PS3 can get.  I know it'll be hard for you to believe but real hardcore FPS fans perfer to give up graphics so they can get a higher framerate.

Didn't the Original Xbox have access to GameSpy?

Also does anyone know if they ever brought the GameSpy technology over to the Mac?
I'm going to be pretty pissed off if the Mac version is limited to Mac gamers only =(

I wonder how a Wii-mote would do vs a controller.

The Wii-mote would be just under the Keyboard and mouse. The Wii-mote loses to K&M because with a K&M you have access to a whole lot more buttons to work with. Wii-mote would beat out a standard controller thou. Much better accuracy with the Wii-more over the clunkiness of a controller.

alright, my bad, its just this line "I'm going to enjoy this lol." on your other post kinda threw me off

ive tried playing Counter-Strike on my tv with video out and it feels really hard and awkward. its much more comfortable with the screen right in front of your face.
so even ps3 players with mouse and keyboards are in trouble..

i find the wii mote to be very easy to use, and i think the control set up can stand up to Mouse and Keyboard, though i only played Rayman and wii play for shooting, it is pretty accurate.

The "I'm going to enjoy this" was more about the crying you are going to hear from people with dual analogs.  However, if you can chose whether to play with other KB&M users or with other dual analogs then it should be at least slightly less destruction of PS3 owners.  Yes, I completely agree that a person on a computer monitor has a large advantage over a person on a 42" TV (I have both).  With the monitor you can get a much better view of the battle in front of you without having to use an peripheral vision.

I like my Wiimote, but I really don't think anything will ever be created that can top KB&M for shooters.  I do think a lock-on free aiming system with the Wiimote could take down a Dual Analog user, but KB&M is really just perfect for shooters.

Oh, PC elitists...

I've played in CS tournaments on my PC and I see no reason why console gamers can't compete with a keyboard and mouse.  A lot of gamers play both anyway, such as myself.

I'm more than willing to pull out my keyboard and mouse for use on the PS3.

As for gaining framerate by lowering graphics...the last I checked CS is locked at 60fps max.  All epic has to do is limit the fps to whatever it runs at on the PS3.

Kinda funny that there are quite a few PC elitists on a console oriented website, though.

I could easily setup my PS3 to run with my monitor or get close to my TV...you guys are really making no sense...

I'm not to sure any PS fans are really going to care if they go up against players using a Keyboard/ mouse combo, the only time it would matter is in a tourny. Most times people just play to have fun, great guns and grenades people are going to die if they use the controller or the keyboard/mouse combo anyways so who cares.
